That is a nice saw. I have a nice size Echo with a 24 inch bar, but that thing is a boat anchor. It will rip through some trees, but I get tired delimbing trees. The Echo is so light. The little clone saw has surprised me a great deal. I honestly thought the Echo would eat its lunch. I still trust the Echo to last, we shall see on the clone.

I really like the Echo I bought after the hurricanes. So far been working the crud out of it and it seems to be holding up good. The knockoff is good for a storm or some clean up, but parts might be a bit hard to get. With being that cheap, you can put it in the trash and buy another one. lol Have a good week Tony! See ya!

I have the exact same Chinese saw and paid just under one hundred for it. I've had it a little over 1 year now. I've worked the hell out of it and even by accident dropped it out of a tree around 60-65 feet up and hit the ground . It did no damage to it and fired right up. I have no complaints about it. And would recommend it for a good dependable cheap saw.

I have lots of chainsaws (Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Podoy). I am very happy with the little Podoy 26cc top handle chainsaw that I got off of Amazon. So far it has performed every bit as good as the Echo, maybe better. Plus it has a two bolt bar which I like better, all the other top handle saws I saw only had one including my Echo. They are all good saws and I am happy with all of them, but I especially like the price of the Podoy saw and that has made me over the top happy. Thanks for doing a review on it, I ran out and bought one after seeing it last year.

I havent used it much but it seems pretty solid I even dropped it out of a tree 30 feet and it held up and ran fine after the fall... no damage just the handle was out of place and the air cleaner cover was a bit off... just snapped back in place and it's running fine so far. How is yours holding up so far? Ive just used it a handful of times but so far it has exceeded my expectations especially for the price.

I also have an echo power pruner pole saw that is bulletproof. Just bought the 271T yesterday. I expect it to be just as good. Echo is quality stuff and the chinese knock offs will never last as long. The carbs will clog faster and they probably have no adjustment and you can't get kits for them if you need it. Update to this comment my info was not accurate it was Info on Amazon. I purchased the generic “chainsaw” fully assembled it weighs 8.3 lbs. it runs great has a lot of power and starts without issue. I am upgrading mine to a 14 inch bar but over all it’s so far been great for my property doing clean up and even cut some firewood with it. One of the main reasons I want the echo 2511T it weighs 5.2 lbs and from what I am reading on Amazon the clone “chainsaw” weighs 9.95 lbs nearly double that’s a huge difference. Why buy a 26 cc saw if it’s going to weigh as much as my 45 cc saw? Just thought I would point this out for those whom may not be thinking it through or those looking for a light weight saw they can lug around all day and not be tired out from using a heavy load. Plus those whom climb probably would prefer a lightweight saw. TY for doing a review on the 2 saws performance, had the clone weighed the same I would be buying it.

I ordered the Chinese saw today since we are on 15+ acres in the mountains and I need a small chainsaw in my truck on the dirts roads out here just to get by when it storms. I will prob get the echo for my property. I will update my comments and TY for pointing this out!

I'd chuck both of those saws in the weeds, before I'd ever climb with one! I'd rather have my bucksaw! Could be mistaken, but it sounds like ur chains maybe a bit tight. Just doesn't seem to free spin much at all before stopping as soon as I let off the throttle... Either way, I would not climb with either.. That's just me tho.

Cheap ones you buy 3 instead of one echo. If you drop it fron the top of the tree all will be busted. With cheap ones you get 3 engines 3 blade bars and chains instead of one. I'll bet you make much more with those instead of one. We use these cheapies in roof tops and buildings. They drops, get stolen etc. No broblem. None of them wear out in use. Only spark plugs snd starting cords and chains as expensive ones.

The Echo model you have is not as light as their tree monkey saw that they strap to their belt and trim the limbs off with while in the tree. I have one as well as the other small one you have. Echos are hard to beat. They are the only people giving 5-year warranties on their saws so long as they are not used commercially which reduces the warranty to 1 year. I can't hold anything against purchasing a cheap Chinese knock off if you only need it for light work. I am considering a large knock off for some storm lay downs at my farm.

Your chain is so tight im surprised it turns. When you let off throttle the chain screams to a stop. The chain should move freely around the bar. IF you let off the trigger and the chain stops instantly your way WAY WAY to tight. This Will cause wear and strain on your motor. This will put strain on your bar and chain and ROB of you of performance. Its mind blowing to me that 99% of folks who run power saws TIGHTEN the chain up WAY WAY to much. Funny to me BOTH saws acted the same way like you OVER tightened them both. The chain needs to have the Slack removed and Thats IT. A new chain will Stretch out some YES. But that is insanely to tight.
