Tons of lies about Russia. And millions of deceived people in the world. If Russia perishes, this world will have no hope left. I see it this way. How long could Russia wait and endure spitting? How many people died during all this time in Ukraine at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists? And as soon as Russia clenched its fists, tons of hatred flew into it, patient mother. And it would be nice to hate what is just, no, this hatred comes from a monstrous lie! ... And the refusal to treat children with cancer - is this not Nazism? World has gone mad. Humanity has no hope. Many countries have proven that they are biorobots, some kind of monsters.

Being against war sounds noble, but does not describe reality. Being against violence, does not mean to wait for something bad to happen and then respond. The police for instance catches criminals before they can act, to prevent harm from happening! This too can involve violence, sad but true! In the case of Russia having an operation in the Ukraine, the Russian view is, that they feel very much under threat by the USA. America has something that is called "The Monroe doctrine", it forbids any distant great power to put military forces into the western hemisphere! In the case of Ukraine, the coup d'etat that was openly sponsored by the west in 2014 brought the Ukraine basically under US rule, Hunter Biden, the son of Biden even works at a gas and oil company there! The US and NATO are not the only problem, as the Ukraine has a government that consists of people who are openly Nazis. These are politicians who on camera said that all Russians, Jews and Germans, etc. should be killed! Ukraine has named streets after Nazi criminals and even erected statues for mass murderers who were Nazis. The AZOV Battalion, the Right Sector and Aidar are just some of the fruits of Ukrainian Nazi mentality which was also openly enforced by western nations as for instance Scott Ritter admitted. The puppet government in the Ukraine tried to cover this all up by installing a Jewish president who is an actor. Before he became president the man played a president in an Ukrainian Tv Soap Opera. Then suddenly a new political party surfaced in the Ukraine with the very same name as the show! Surprise! The candidate was the actor from the show! Western powers supported heavy militarization of Ukraine, which lead to 14.000 deaths in the Donbass region which was clearly against the coup d'etat. The US installed Biological Laboratories in the Ukraine to research biological weapons, which goes against the Geneva Convention and is a crime against humanity! This all lead to a reaction of Russia as the Superpower next door...

Different "leaders", same mistakes. Strange thing is that the children Sting was refering to when he wrote this song, the 70/80's kids are now the adults making the mistakes they dreaded as children! Let's hope one day we will learn not to continue making the sames mistakes and that just as this song is timeless, everyone loves their kids enough for this planet to have a chance!
@tuesday199312

Sergio, if I may; it's not the grown up Russian children from the 70/80's making any mistakes, whatsoever. It's their leaders, as well as the western world leaders playing the game of divide and conquer. No one blamed American adults when the USA invaded Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan et al....and we still haven't found any weapons of mass destruction! "Oh well, never mind, our mistake (thousands of unnecessary deaths, and oodles of stolen raw materials, later" ;-D

Already at this time I was deeply moved by the song. When I heard it again last week on radio - more than 35 years later - I started crying bitterly and had to drive my car to the right, because I was too shaken to drive and had to calm down first.

It’s truly fascinating. This song was published 30 years ago, this person posted the video 13 years ago, and the algorithm recommended this seemingly a year ago. Not only that, but you see many comments from different languages and different time periods. I was just a baby born in 1986, so i really didnt have any memory of the Soviet Union, but seeing so many others share their experiences of that era is breathtaking, but also chilling that we are in such uncertain times again. I write this as of July 21, 2023, and I hope this account is still active so the algorithm does a loop around again and recommends this moment of history for others to see.

I know this is going to sound satirical, but if they nuke your city, you will have mere seconds yo panic and then you're gone There is a Dutch song, called "de Bom" by Doe maar, that's about not worrying about a bomb. Whether America, Germany, Russia throws them, it will not chance that you should focus on your loved ones, instead of money or profits. He sings: I need to get my diploma, before the bomb drops. Need to get my healthinsurance fixed, before the bomb drops. But if the bomb drops.. well then I'll lay there in my fancy suit, cheques and diplomas in my pocket, my nice vocabulary and healthinsurance all covered.. under the rubblr of the skyscrapers in the city, next to you. So let it drop then, it'll happen anyway, it doesn't matter if you run or not. I'd like to get to know who you are, i've never gotten to know you and I'd like to know who you are." Again, it's Doe maar- de bom. A bit of an 80's rastafari-inspired song.

Speaking of it's all over again, the west invaded Europe and Africa and Russia was there to clean it up while you bark at Russians for doing their job, of protecting their own. This happened over and over again yet no one learns a damn thing about anything. Especially today. NATO invaded Europe and is attacking Russia while magically Russia is an invaidor on it's own lands ... Same was applied to Serbia and bunch of other who NATO is in war with. NATO invades and kills natives magically those natives are the aggressors and are invading themselves. Do world a favor and just f-ck off. Especially things you can't comprehend even a concept of let alone the entire thing, nor clearly want to even try to learn. The west and their zombies should leave out of their filthy mouths the countries that are centuries far older then your pathetic fake ones, in any negative way. Because whatever your spoiledass have today is thanks to those same old countries your officials butcher and pillage.

I heard this song as a child and it really opened my eyes. We use to have nuclear war drills at school and watch films about what to do in case of nuclear war. I remember being scared of and hating the Russians/Soviets and playing war with my friends where we pretended to be fighting them. The thought that there was some Russian kid out there thinking the same thing about me never entered my mine till I heard this song. It upset me then bc I realized I didn't hate anyone I was scared and wanted to protect the people I loved. Thinking there might be some people on the "other side" that actually loved their children gave me real hope that maybe we could avoid a nuclear war and perhaps find some way to get along. You have no idea how relevant this song was at the time, if I'm not mistaken, the mid-80s. The feeling that the manipulated majority had when it came to the Russian people, was that of a faceless, stereotypical enemy. Hence fear arose of what could come out of such people. Sting, boldly, observed that there are differences only in the extent of human beings. He was able to see people, instead of stereotypes. This is more current than you think.

I was a kid when this song was released, and as a kid my feelings are the same as they are now about this song- and that is in countries where leaders make blank decisions for everyone I hope they love and care about the children, because those decisions affect kids, not just adults, economy, etc. Often is seems countries are at war with each other for a myriad of reasons and the children may be the ones to suffer, if not physically, emotionally. I hadn't heard this song in ages. I was listening to some classical music today on the Apple Classical Music app, Prokofiev's "Lt. Kije Suite" and the melody immediately struck me as sounding familiar. It took me a few minutes, but I finally figured out it was this Sting song from long ago (confirmed by Wikipedia!). I have this on vinyl and saw him in concert soon after the album was released. Wow, Sting's music, at least to me, still holds up well after all these years. Prokofiev's suite is also just as fantastic on first listen.

@Phelan The true God (Hebrew Yahweh) created Lucifer/Satan. Satan has free will to agree to obey or disobey God as all people also do. I believe God knows the end from the beginning dependant upon actions/ine tions of Angel's and people. I think a concept of pre- destination based on all lives is an erroneous understanding of biblical scripture. God is outside of time,he therefore knows the end from the beginning based on what happens.

@Phelan I think God knows the consequences of all actions when they happen/are carried out by angels/people. However, we can't be free unless we desire to choose his loving influence by the Holy Spirit(Gods spirit) in our lives. Because of the intense rebellion against God it would appear the consequences of these actions will create what is written about in biblical scripture. However,there is hope promised for those who want to follow Yeshua the messiah. The alternative is horrible but many people do not want to repent and follow Yeshua.They prefer the rebellious sinful lifestyle. These people will be rejected by God in eternity because they have rejected his ways and hope of salvation found through following Yeshua. Yeshua bless you
