Stirling Cycle Hot Air Engine Teardown.

3 жыл бұрынI made this engine many years ago and thought that it might be of interest for you to see the way it is constructed. It is nearly all brass which I have given a flash of gold to stop it tarnishing, I have never had any success with laquering.The scotch crank yoke runs in two small ball races which I have omitted to show in the pictures, the piston is cast iron with an aluminium inner that holds the gudgion pin, the base is slate.

Wow what a beauty. Must be very efficient and low friction to run so well on such a small flame. Love the scotch yoke on a separate rod from the power piston. Excellent in every way😎

Thanks for sharing the break down! Personally I like the V design and the scotch yoke is fitting (tough to design & build) for this style. You machine work is superb and particularly appreciate the fin work and the banjo. Beautiful work! Best of all it runs like a top, despite your howling troll's engineering ineptitude and grammar, let alone manners. Thanks again for what you bring to us! ~PJ (old engineer)
