This is one of the BEST tip videos I’ve EVER seen! The only issue would be if the “front “ happens to be purled rather than knit… that would make it pretty confusing again 😵‍💫 I wondered why those set up stitches were even normally used??

This is simply amazing!! I love Picot any thing. Now sock are going to be my next project.. I only know how to knit toe up socks so that is half my battle.

Just came across your channel today...you have very informative videos! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise! I'm curious...why didn't you count the stitch on the needle as part of the 10 stitches down before placing the marker?

Have you found the Addi FlexiFlips to be your favorite needles for doing socks?? Or do you ever find DPNs to work better with a particular style of sock (or area of the sock)?

I used DPNs for many years, but the FlexiFlips are now my favorite needles for sock knitting. Be aware that there are a lot of top down sock patterns that are written specifically for dpns and tell you how many stitches should be on each dpn as you work the shaping.

I have never done a hem. Looks hard. I think of the purl bumps as smiles and frowns. Everyone seems to avoid that analogy.

It's time consuming, but I wouldn't necessarily call it hard. I had never even thought about the purl bumps as smiles and frowns. The comparison I have heard most is smiles and umbrellas, but smiles and rainbows makes me feel happier. Happy knitting!
