In this episode of the Shaft vs Shaft Challenge I test a couple of my inexpensive upgrade Driver shafts vs a Stock Ping ALTA CB 55 by Aldila.
I selected two Driver shafts with very different bend profiles. I picked the Project X Evenflow Black Driver shaft, and the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Dual Core Silver TiNi. They are the opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of feel.
Due to a back injury my Driver swing speed is down to around 90 mph. Which shaft would work best at that swing speed? Is the soft profile of the Project X Evenflow Black better than the firm profile of the Mitsubishi Chemical Kuro Kage dual core Silver TiNi? Is a stock shaft the better option when you aren't a very fast or aggressive swinger of the golf driver?
