I really enjoy this (mostly) stock content. It’s relatable. When I got my first 4x4, I put some skid plates on, and tried to follow some lifted Jeeps, while only having 31s on my truck.

@RyanRKJ
@RyanRKJ 2 жыл бұрын
@@cristianortega5850 it was a bit stressful, because I'd bottom out on a lot of things. No damage though, other than a side step that I should have just taken off before the trip. I did have to turn back on one trail, because my truck just could not do it, but other than that, I hung with them for the weekend, and had a good time.

That looks like a great adventure. It takes some balls to wheel a brand new vehicle 1200 miles from home in a foreign country. You got the first scratch out of the way. No you don’t have to worry about scratching it anymore

Bro, this video of BAJA in a stock TACOMA was Epic and arguably your best work thus far. The cohesiveness, comoladarie; teamwork, adventure and the breathtaking sceneries did it for me. Your video editing skills (particularly on this video) is undeniably the best in the 4x4 TOYOTA KZfaq that I have seen - its almost cinematic. I watch lots of your tutorials too but this one, to me was the best. You managed to capture and exude a side of Mexico that we Americans don't know of - we only hear about the Cartels and Poverty and Illegals but never thought it would be a place for adventurous excursions. Thanks for the Delivery brother 🙏

I Just bought a 2021 Tacoma DCSB TRD off road 4x4 with the Tech & premium pkg and crawl control has saved me 3X already here in the Arizona desert , where rear locker was on truck would not make it up few steep deep rutted out hills but crawl control made it with ease . Just remember crawl control will not work if you have your locker on the whole purpose of crawl is each wheel is free to get torque when mostly needed for traction, I’m really impressed with this new Tacoma I will definitely keep it for many many years . I give it up to you man I couldn’t do that to my brand new truck , awesome video though , keep em coming 👍🏻

Awesome. What can I say. Taking your Yoda off trail. It's like the time when I bought my 03 silverado 4x4 and took it off road after about a month of ownership. I cut wood for my wife's niece house every year since. I put a few dents and scratches on it. My wife was pretty upset. I just said. We bought it for hauling and hunting and such. It's not going to be a mall- crawler with fancy wheels. Then we got spray liner in the bed. Best investment I ever made. Still has stock tires. But bent them. So I invested in aluminum rims. Still ticking at 348 ,000 miles on the same trans. I am hooked on your channel watching. This is cool. I love going off road. Im 66 yrs older. I have a 2000 disco also. @@Kenbark42 a bumper, winch and sliders are barely scratching the surface of being a built rig. Dont get me wrong it's not STOCK, but it's on stock wheels and tires, stock height, stock engine, trans and transfer case. The only thing it has is a bumper, winch and sliders. There's no additional armor, he even mentioned in his latest video that the stock skid plates are basically garbage. This still shows you dont have to a 80k dollar rig to go have fun. Anyone with a truck that has 4 wheel drive, can still have a blast, that's all I was saying
@Kenbark42
@Kenbark42 3 жыл бұрын
@@GrizzlyMatt94 he refers to his truck as “Bone Stock” repeatedly. It’s just not. The front bumper alone will do more for crawling than “just a bumper” the approach angle that expensive difficult to install bumper gave him a huge advantage with off-roading. It’s just not “bone stock” and it’s not a cheap or easy mod to do. In fact, most people get tires, suspension/lift, gearing etc before they go bumper because it is a difficult expensive advanced mod

@@Kenbark42 I would agree that most people do a lift, wheels and tires, gears etc. first. I'd have to disagree with a bumper being advanced. In his case, yes because he nodded the bumper but, if he had not it would've been a bolt on part. Yeah maybe a little bit of modification but nothing anyone with some time and will power couldn't handle. It isnt difficult, people tend to be apprehensive about it though

@@GrizzlyMatt94 It is a more difficult mod than suspension/lift, tires, and other useful offroady bits. Lifting a 150-200lb bumper into place alone is a real task. Another great video Nate! Hate that you got the cab, but hey it happens. Serious question for you now. After you have the front locker, sway bar disconnect, suspension mods and 35’s on it will you do a return trip for a comparison run? It would be interesting to see just how much difference all of the mods made going back over the same terrain, you already know which rock to avoid so you have that going for you. Dan.

I love my 95 tacoma, but don't usually hit jeep rock trails. Want to build a crawler eventually. My truck just has a modest mid lift all the way around, rock kickers, etc. Most of my offroading is Ocotillo Wells, Gordon's Wells, Buttercup, superstition, and Glamis sometimes.

Another great video! I'm really enjoying watching you push the stock Taco. I have a Toyota, but watching an IFS Yota try to rock crawl is just painful, LOL.
