Mainly 'cause it seems like for the first time in a long time (and I mean no disrespect to Buttler or Bairstow here, one who's probably the best white-ball batter ever and the other who's making test batting look piss right now), England have a genuinely proper keeper batsman. Arguably the best in the world with the gloves and has scored runs in a really classy way since he started. Problem is I feel like he's criminally underrated with only a couple of, as you say, in many cases unlucky dismissals prompting questions about him, while Crawley continues to buy a place. Worry that England will be incredibly England and let an actually world-class player slip through their fingers and end up just giving the gloves back to Bairstow, and fucking him in the process too
