Hey guys, make sure you protect your lungs. Those grinders throw dust in the air for upwards of 5 hours, and you will be breathing that in. Even an n95 will reduce a lot of exposure to your lungs. Door looks amazing!

Your faces at the end of the vlog clearly shows that the work done has all been worthwhile, take a few minutes out and congratulate each other on your vision and the end product. “Keep the faith” and continue to look after each other.

Don't lie, tell the truth. Do you ever sit down and stare at the work you did and beam with pride? Do you do it many times over. Do you have this unbelievable feeling of accomplishment and pride? Does it make you smile? Do you feel like the luckiest people on earth that you can use your own hands to create your own destiny? You make me feel this way about you two. You don't absolutely need double glazing in Portugal, so I am just making my frames myself and putting single glazing in. If you do through bolted half lap joints, they are easy to maintain and repair. I was going to do steel frames and I may still do. If you want to weld without forking out for a welder just get two car batteries connected together to make 24 volts a pair of mole grips and a set of jump leads and off you go.

Laura you mentioned that birds try to gain entry into the barn of a night, so my thing would be to put a scarer on the glass inside that deters them , otherwise be ready for small birds with broken necks lying at the foot of the door.
