If you're completing pelvic floor strengthening exercises for men (kegels) then you need to be aware of the side effects. Sure strengthening the pelvic muscles will help most men stop urine leakage but doing too many kegels can be counter productive. In this video I go through the things to watch out for when learning how to contract your pelvic floor for men.

.. I do not have any particular reason other than curiosity to follow you, but at my stage of life, I see many men going through various prostate and erectile issues. Thankfully these days we can talk about these issues so much more easily than our parent could. My only erectile failure has been more like trying to do too much too soon when I was much younger haha. I do have some tendency now, though, to be close to, but not, having urine leakage. This makes me think that kegel exercise may be of benefit.

Some people do reverse kegels when they shouldn’t, and some do kegels when they should be doing reverse. I fixed my pelvic floor issues if been struggling with for about a year by finally finding that proper reverse kegel, and only them across 2 days I feel completely better.

Are you saying, do kegals everyday or 5 days a week then pelvic stretches 2 days a week?

د. اريك الذي فهمتة منك ان التمارين تقوية قاع الحوض بشكل يومي خطر هناك بعض من الناس من يقولوا تمارين كيجل يجب ان يستمر فيها بشكل يومي لكي تحصل على نتائج مذهلة قوة الانتصاب وتأخير في القذف الان اريد منك يا دكتور. توضيح تمرين كيجل هل هو مفيد او خطير

Nice videos in general thanks. But on this one and several others (and other doctors show it too) you show a thumbnail photo of a guy laying on back with knees up and lifting his body (butt) into the air by pressing down on heals and its insinuated to NOT do this exercise, BUT you never mention this one exercise at all in your video !?!? I don't understand ... should i not do it or what ???

I hear what you're saying and sorry for the confusion. For context, it's difficult to come up with a photo idea that's going to resonate with men and also give insight to what the video is going to teach you. But that's my problem to solve and I'll work on it. In relation to your question. Glute bridges (the exercise depicted) is a fantastic exercise to strengthen your lower body muscles however some guys will combine a kegel contraction with a glute bridge and this is where the problem lies. Kegels need specific contractions and plenty of focus. By combining the two exercises into one, you place more strain on your core and you're not properly strengthening your pelvic floor muscles as well as you could in isolation. I find these exercise’s frustrating, am I doing them right? Am I doing more harm than good? Is my pelvic floor, loose, tight, weak etc? Help lol

I hear you. I believe it's because we can't see these muscles making it hard to know if we're contracting them properly. Have you watched my "How to Kegel Breakdown Video"? I am doing kegals since last 5 years. I do 300 contractions per day and am very comfortable. I am 80 years old and still get good erections. Should I continue with more repetations ? repetations repetations

I've been working on my pelvic floor strength for months and just like that....bam....it's either weak bladder or my prostrate is getting squished or something. 😂 This sucks. Edit: Yes. I made a doctor's appointment appointment. It just seems like the two things are somehow connected but I am kinda afraid that it could be something much worse. Wish me luck.

Great question, no Kegels don’t directly enlarge your prostate.

Your situation could truly be a coincidence or you might need pelvic floor stretching instead of strengthening exercises. Do this for me, stop the Kegels and switch to daily pelvic floor stretches to see if your symptoms ease up. I made a video for you to watch here.
