Hi Steven, Many of the benefits gained by using castor oil are a result of its chemical composition. Castor oil is a particular type of triglyceride fatty acid, with nearly 90 percent of its fatty acid substance is ricinoleic acid, which is an unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Recent studies have shown that castor oil can be used to support the immune system, and an anti-inflammatory agent, antimicrobial agent, and lymphatic stimulant. The ricinoleic acid that castor oil contains possess the ability to boost anti-inflammatory properties within the body I hope this helps.. Thanks again Gabrielle

I took two teaspoons of Castor oil and within 10 to 30 minutes, the cramps were almost gone. Did a massage and feel much better. It's been bad for four days. I was shocked.

My Mum use to give us kids caster oil and I can't remember why. However, it was one of the old time remedies, I think we have lost over time. I will give it a go because I suffer from oily skin. So I will try to fight oil with oil. I'll let you know how I go. Lionel

Hi Lionel - here is some information on how to use Castor Oil For a Deep Cleanse for your face and treating acne and skin blemishes- I hope this helps .. Gabrielle ❤ The common skin condition, acne, is a result of impurities accumulating in your pores, causing the skin to become irritated and inflamed. Many of the acne remedies on the market today contain benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, which tend to dry out the skin. Castor oil, similar to using neem oil, is a natural resource that will draw out dirt, dead skin cells, excess oils, and bacteria without drying out your skin. DIRECTIONS Place a bowl of boiling water on a stable surface and grab a towel. Holding the towel over your head, lean over the bowl of water. Doing this opens up your pores, which allows the castor oil to penetrate your skin deeply. Keep your face over the bowl for several minutes. Take a washcloth and moisten it with warm water, and apply a small, dime-sized amount of castor oil to the cloth. Gently rub the affected area with the washcloth. Use small circular motions when applying the castor oil to the area. Leave the castor oil on your skin overnight. When you wake up, remove the castor oil using a damp towel to wipe away the oil. Using cold water, splash your face several times. Cold water will shrink your pores, while warm water will open up your pores. Pat your skin dry and use a facial cleanser to clean away the remaining castor oil. For the best results, repeat these steps on a daily basis for between 10 and 14 days. You can use castor oil to prevent acne by following this process a couple of times a week. Deep Facial Cleanser Along with treating acne, you can use castor oil as a deep facial cleanser. Unlike the harsh chemicals in over-the-counter and prescription facial cleansers that dry out your skin, using castor oil as a deep cleanser will get rid of pimples fast, deep-clean your skin of dirt, bacteria, dead skin cells, and excess oils while keeping your skin soft, supple, and flawless. DIRECTIONS Using a generous amount of the oil blend in the palm of your hand, rub them together to warm up the oil. Using slow, firm motions across your skin, massage the oil into your face, paying particular attention to any areas that may be a problem. When your pores are thoroughly saturated, take a clean washcloth and soak it in hot water. Place the washcloth over your face. Leave it on until it has become cool to the touch. Gently wipe your face with the washcloth, and then rinse it in hot, running water. Repeat these steps several times to thoroughly clean your face. Be sure to not scrub your face hard during the final step of the process.

What do you mean by Ayurvedic? How can you call a natural raw organic material Ayurvedic? What do you call the Castor oil available in China, Japan Ayurvedic? Ayurveda is an Indian system of medicine and you call something Ayurvedic when an Ayurvedic formula/formulation is used. I am from India , the land of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is not that great as some people like you seem to think unknowingly.

Hi Thank you for commenting .. It is nice to know you are from India.. what an incredible country! I recently spent 5 months in India studying with some of the top Ayurveda Doctors and yes Castor Oil is 100% Ayurveda and is used widely in Ayurveda Medicine - I hope the following information helps you broaden your understanding of Ayurveda Medicine and why they call Castor Oil the ‘Miracle Oil’ Castor oil is a key component in Ayurveda medicine and is derived from the crushed seeds, or “beans,” of the Ricinus communis plant, which is indigenous to the Mediterranean region, East Africa, and India.Known as Gandharvahasta Taila in Ayurveda, Castor oil is an essential ingredient with many beneficial properties. It is an ancient remedy used since pre-historic times to cure or improve conditions of the body from scalp to feet. Although used majority as a laxative to get relief from constipation, castor oil has proven to be the best remedy for treating various health issues like rheumatism, lumbago, hair fall, wrinkles, ovarian cysts, warts, menstrual discomforts, fungal infection, yeast infections, acne, ringworm, arthritis, piles, asthma and inflammatory nerves, eczema and psoriasis, bacterial infections, plague growth, etc. The role of castor oil in Ayurveda is much more important and wider than you can imagine. Its function is to balance the primary functional energies in our bodies that are aligned with the elements of nature and among the three forces of energies known as the Doshas (Kapha - Vata - Pitta), it is best known to stabilize Vāta (space and air) and Kapha (water and earth) dishes. Thanks Gabrielle

@@GOGABRIELLE Thank you for the reply. I am afraid you missed the point. As you said Castor oil is an ingredient of many Ayurvedic preparations. It's true in the case of other systems of medicines as well. How does a natural ingredient be called Ayurvedic just because it's used in Ayurvedic medicines? Water is an essential ingredient of Ayurvedic preparations. Would you call water Ayurvedic?

@@gsnipernew3.070 Hi - That’s what Ayurveda medical practitioners classify it as .. I am going what is common practice terminology ..feel free to google this or consult with an Ayurvedic doctor if you want to question this further.. I am certainly not claiming to be one or would I dare to question their terminology .. thanks again for commenting Gabrielle
