This has got to be one of the worst tarantula packaging, aside from the “Plastic bags” one, I’ve ever gotten! Sorry about the 4 min rant. I was just shocked that a fellow tarantula keeper would pack these animals like this. The main thing that should be done when packing spiders is to have all the sides of the container’s insides to be wrapped with paper towels, that way the animal won’t be ‘bouncing’ around it during shipment. Secondly is to use a sturdy cardboard box, NOT A PAPER BOX! and this guy did the exact opposite of those two. Unbelievable.

Honestly these sellers need of take into account these are live animals. Not just objects they are selling. They need to take precaution in shipping these creatures; it's not like they are made of plastic. This doesn't even make much sense either as a seller should be shipping their "object" rightly where the object may come in good condition to their customer. We need website for good sellers to buy from and bad ones to look out for. This guy is incredibly lucky that these guys came out alive. He clearly doesn't care...its not hard to learn how to properly package tranantulas.

I always pack mine in fine China, so when they receive a tarantula from me they can see that because the China is not broken that the Tarantula is safe. That and they get a piece of silverware .

As someone who used to own turantulas (mainly orange baboons, and a salmon pink - i think thats what they're called-) bit we got a package like that, she was only a small spider, but the package was soaked and her tub was bust, she ended up with massive issues with eating and walking about. The guy who sent it said he was a "professional" in spider keeping, an that we were the ones that destroyed the tub and harmed Dobby (spider)

Oh after i pack him/her up i will put it under the sun for a full day and then during the night put 2 AC around it and see how they like it being wrap around, that might knock some sense into them unless they died during the process

When I work there I’ll make sure to do the main thing that should be done when packing spiders which is to have all the sides of the container’s insides to be wrapped with paper towels, that way the animal won’t be ‘bouncing’ around it during shipment. Secondly is to use a sturdy cardboard box.
