Although an introvert may not be “real” there are people who get chronic illness flare ups from too much sensory and information input. It’s not in their control because they have sensory processing disorder and have genetic disabilities that can’t be cured. There are things like C-PTSD that can make the struggle worse and make one identify with introversion. However, from my experience, if one works to treat and slowly heal C-PTSD the socialising becomes easier and around the right people connections happen. The sensory processing disorder and the chronic illness doesn’t get better so one must learn to listen to their own limits (which are forever changing) and work within that and only push oneself wisely. It’s not easy but it can be done and one doesn’t need to be socialising all the time. It’s about finding harmony ❤

The part in the book about you was really him explaining how his ego was getting the best of him, how he stole a girl from you to prove his ego was bigger than yours, and how he almost lost a chance with the girl he was REALLY into because of his egotistical nature.
