Stop Stereotyping Nigerians as Scammers!

I hate, hate, HATE the "Nigerian Prince" scam that leads so many millions of #Nigerians to be tainted by the same negative stereotype.
Please stop stereotyping Nigerians as scammers.
I know a great many Nigerians who are in the diaspora, as well as based in #Nigeria who live by the values of integrity, transparency, honesty, and accountability and hate that all that they attempt to achieve personally, professionally, locally and abroad is tainted by this outdated stereotype.
Scamming happens all around the world, yet it is the Nigerian people who cop the brunt of the mistrust and accusations. This has to stop.
There is not one industry in which you will not find a Nigerian demonstrating excellence and that's what makes my podcast, An African’s Queen, so important. I want to showcase their brilliance as far and as wide as I can because their light shines bright. It's inspiring and is worth celebrating!!!

You fail to realize that even other African countries generally are very suspicious of Nigerians -- not just Western countries.

You shouldn't be defending Nigerians, you should be defending the American elderly those criminals scam every single day out of millions. My husband is one of their victims. Sure, not only Nigeria has scammers... India does as well. Please stand up for the victims not these criminals. Scamming is a career in Nigeria, Ghana India. I don't have any sympathy for any of them. They should be in prison for the rest of their lives. Their government does nothing, in fact their police are complicit.
