I do intermittent fasting (16:8 minimum) which makes a huge difference to how I feel. It greatly reduces my aches, pains and brain fog but when I add a cup of black coffee with cinnamon I feel these effects so much more. It also enables me to control my appetite just enough. Plus as the mother of a 3 year old who often wakes me up at night, broken sleep often gives me a headache which always starts slowing and grows throughout the day. That one cup of coffee kills my headache dead, so much more efficiently that any painkillers. I’m also addicted to my mobile phone, particularly shopping (or at least browsing) and REALLY need to tackle that because it makes me feel awful.

Your comment is a little judgemental. I used to think that way myself until severe mental illness struck my beloved son 15 years ago. Combine that with being bullied in a high stress job, osteoarthritis, vertigo, anxiety disorder etc. etc. Now to make matters worse I have developed binge eating disorder with the stress of it all. I'm not giving up though I have booked "chi me" for Monday morning.

Loneliness is hard to cover from, because it's not easy for me to find people, it seems like there is a standard to keep to be around certain type of people I guess, friend circles changes whether it's a situation, job and even marriage because priorities are different. Glad that I'm taking care of my health atleast as for craving for sweetness I have fruits which helps alot. He mentioned supplements but for me whenever someone says that feels like it won't be a good idea at all, I would rather have things that are purely natural. Any form of addiction that affects your health is not good whether it's coffee or too much social media consumption and the most harmful are the shorts because it is leading people towards having short attention span.

Everything seems partial here. For example, he recommands Omega 3 supplementation... Ok, but without talking about omega 6 reduction. Lowering Omega 6 is important when taking Omega 3, because they share the same enzyme to be used by your body. If you are high on Omega 6, you won't get any benefit from Omega 3 supplementation. The simplest way to get the effects of Omega 3 is to cook low processed foods and use a neutral fat source to cook such olive oil (which is mostly Omega 9 and doesn't change the O3-O6 ratio).

I think some of his advice, particularly about nutrition, needs to be tempered by mentioning the aspects of life/society/disabilities that can make it more difficult to follow said advice. For example, the existence of poverty and food deserts should be acknowledged along with stating that eating lots of processed or fast food is not ideal. Some people simply do not have the option to buy things like fresh produce simply because it is not an available and/or affordable. Or that things like dental hygiene can be very difficult to maintain for someone with ADHD or even depression. Most of his advice definitely sounds like a good goal to shoot for but it can definitely come off as intimidating and gives a bit of an impression that if someone does not succeed at all of these things that they’re a failure, regardless of their circumstances. Maybe he mentions this in his other work, but just thought it should be mentioned. Nevertheless, it’s always good to aim for a healthier lifestyle!
@vanessabarreto3168

I found this quite able-list. For autistic people, screen time helps with regulation and maintaining dental hygiene can be challenging. Also telling someone with depression that it doubles their chances of getting Alzheimer's will only make them more depressed??

Yes, FRUIT, not (man-altered fruit juice). We used to squeeze oranges for juice. Sugar is always bad for you; unfortunately, it is Very addictive and one can only quit cold-turkey (although exercise helps while doing this). Did you know that Gingko fruit has a strong putrid smell? Our town planted a female Gingko tree; I wonder how long until someone steps on a ripe fruit! I'll take exercise instead of Gingko, thank you. Omega-3 is not a problem if you love to eat sardines; unfortunately, I cannot eat fish, so I settle for a high-quality fish oil. As for Brain Trauma, I tried to keep up with my husband and rode a motorcycle. I am NOT an athlete and suffered two concussions. Stupid, yes! The motorcycle was not injured! THANK you for this video---much of the information is quite useful. Keep your brain active! Read, learn new things!

What a wonderful life to live, maybe reach 100+ and be bored to death, my ancestors on my mothers side all live to 90+, on my fathers side they die at 70. The ones on my mothers side drink alcohol, eat sweets and cakes, drink a lot of coffee, not so on my fathers side. No diabetic on either side, my mother and father have been working at screens for the last 30 years. they are 78&79 y.o now. I would say they still drink 3 large mugs of coffee every day. They both still have very high cognitive abilities and are still productive.

Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice is one of the healthiest foods (in season, local, organic). It doesn't require stomach acid. Watermelon is probably the healthiest breakfast as it has the fiber and also doesn't trigger stomach acid (the enzymes reach the lower digestive tract). I soak organic lemons and limes in water and only drink the yellowy resulting tea. I only use raw sugar (1-2 tsp per day in my coffee). Homemade hot sauce is super healthy and easy to make.

Eating half of the grapefruit each morning and not bothering to squeeze half a dozen into a glass is much healthier though as the body really needs the fiber and vitamins in the whole fruit.

But studies show that reading a book organically not off of a screen, helps keep you sharp because of the horizontal reputation. If you're going through systematic psyche attack and can't really be around people as a result of that, read. It's one of the best things you can do outside of exercise and meditation to help you keep your wits about you.

Just do, eat and drink what brings you joy and calmness. Not all of us are same, too many data and scientific facts that may play role in theory but not in real life. People suffer more from being said all the time that they do this or that wrong, then from their inner needs. Everyone knows whats best for him. Its about dose, being in moderation. Its not black or white. 🎉

He said a small amount is fine. Drinking huge Starbucks drinks with extra caffeine and a ton of sugar isn’t. Italians, Turks and those in the Balkans drink tiny cups (shots) of straight black coffee. I would say staying within your BMI and exercising daily are even more important though.
