There wont be, you acknowledge and agree when installing windows or when you start windows on a brand new device. It is like with Facebook: you can upload photos and share with friends and family BUT when you signed up for Facebook, you actually agreed that your photos will now belong to Facebook and that they can use your photos without your consent. Or when you use the Facebook app on your Android smartphone and agree to the terms and conditions: The app can use your camera and microphone WITHOUT your say so. It is all in the print that we all agree to when first installing or using said software/platforms or devices.

Recently saw a video about why some still use Windows XP. While I don't use it anymore the reason I still think dearly of it is because I felt like I OWNED my pc. Not long ago went looking for some files I had in my windows xp and booted that system. There were only 10 processes running and I knew exactly what each of those were. It was a system I knew the ins and outs, configured to my liking and felt in control of it. Now, a brand new windows computer will have about 200 processes running and even more services, before you even install anything, and a lot of those are things I don't want running on my pc. New windows feel like buying a new car and the first thing you say when you sit on it "I HATE THIS" , then work on configuring, removing all stuff I don't care and don't want, just so I hate it a little less and windows reinstalling a lot of that crap on the next update. If I own a pc I want to be the one installing new software on it, because I have an use for it, I dont want someone else installing whatever software they want, but this is the experience windows gives you, then they collect and sell your data profiting from you just using "your" computer and on top of that make you pay for it.

Another thing to be careful of: some companies with Android software will turn permissions back on during an automatic update. Companies love to come out with a new privacy policy update saying "by continuing to use service you agree to..." and turning everything back on at update time. Edit: thanks for the 1k likes

A good follow up later is to see if a future windows update enables all these features again like they usually do. Microdot just loves to enable those registry keys and group police’s again without telling you. Not to mention change the keys so the program won’t work and you’ll have to wait for a new disable tool.

I will say this. Log collection is very useful if you know where and what to look at and how to utilize the info and the search/filters. If you use your system as a server or NAS of sorts and have ever realized your system is offline. The logs can be very helpful in figuring out why that happened. If a power failure, update, or system crash occurred. The logs will usually state such things along with pertinent info as to what caused the issue. It may not solve your problems, but it can definitely help make it easier and quicker to do so. Especially if you want to avoid any foolish errands!

Could you do an analysis on system overhead for the different antivirus ? As in, how much resources do they use, because sometimes you want to run them on machines with limited resources or on PCs where performance matters (eg. gaming PCs). Also, I noticed you included links to the tools you described in the video, which is great. It was not always the case for previous videos, and as downloading things from the internet may be unsafe it is good to have the proper links.

I applied these settings, and a few more, a fews days back and now Win 11 just freezes periodically. I sometimes can't use the KB and Mouse at all, or Mouse and KB inputs are extreally laggy, like a 5 to 10sec delay, no matter if its a game, document I'm working on, or just folder-file managment actions, the whole system freezes for about 15 seconds.

Winaero Tweaker looks superior to "Ultimate" Windows Tweaker for several reasons. The UI is a lot easier to navigate while it offers largely the same options BUT Winaero offers an entire tab tracking the changes made, where they can easily be undone.

I should never have to go through this effort to "stop windows from spying" in the first place. The act of doing this literally means that in a few os iterations, it won't be possible. Then what? SwITcH tO LiNuX? That is a totally absurd suggestion to make for a whole set of different reasons. I also would be interested in how much telemetry is in different versions of windows 10 and 11. For example windows 10 home or pro vs windows 10 ltsc enterprise.

You have to look at each application individually, these don't even persist on your system so once you close them, they're gone, but if you instead prefer to distrust everything not made by (insert favorite company here) don't be surprised when that same monopoly doesn't care about you as a user. Some of the largest companies like Avast, Fortinet etc, yes, even Microsoft, have had serious security problems. Remember WannaCry autoinstalling through the network (that was all Microsoft SMB). Spreading the view you that you shouldn't trust anybody else cause of all the security dangers but somehow trust them with more and more despite their endless screwups is very profitable for someone, and it isn't the user.

@@pcsecuritychannel I really understand your point and I agree with you because I imagine your perspective, but try to see mine just for one moment: I'm a simple developer that doesnt understand as much as you do and I think most of the people here also does not. What I know is general concepts that allows me to see that what you do in videos makes sense for example.: I know what wireshark is and what is does but I dont know how to use it. I know what virustotal is but I dont really knows how it works inside. I know registry although I dont really know how to check it. And that's precisely the issue. If you use a tool you have 30 different ways of instantly check if it is bad or not. If I have to use a tool I am limited to other tools like virustotal and content made about this like your channel itself. Let me be clear on something: I agree with you when you distrust this companies and what you do in you videos I would love to be able to do so that's why I watch them. But when you say in a video to use something like dumpit that turns virustotal crazy I dont have the same options that you do to feel safe using it. It really sucks to have to "trust" microsoft but the other option is some shady tool that nobody really knows that have admin access to my registry. Maybe this will make you think I'm a hater or just really dumb, but maybe it will give you some ideas of videos in the future too. I really like your content man. I really do. Hopefully you understand this is not an attack but a honest viewer concern that maybe more people watching this may share too.

Anyway, makes me feel better that I switch to Linux yes its a learning curve but I have control over the OS not the other way around and please don't say well I have nothing to hide that's not my point here our pc that we paid for with our money that contains private documents etc. should stay private its nobody business what's in my pc.
