I am a single mom and when I have gotten my last child through high school ( he’s a sophomore) I am going to foster and hopefully adopt some teenagers. No one deserves to go through life alone. No one!

So very sad. I wish people who have the means would start taking these kids in and adopting them. I would if I wasn't dirt poor with health issues. But there are a lot of healthy, younger people who could fill their house with them instead of producing their natural born kids.

Listening to Shane is like hearing my own story as a former foster child in the foster care system, and someone who was adopted. 😔🙇🏽And not having any parents, there are scars and wounds I still feel to this day... Especially around this time of the year the holidays make it more lonesome at times...Made me tear up.😢

Oh, Shane, what an amazing young man you have become! Yes, who indeed would NOT be proud to call you son. In fact, is it too late? I'm really quite serious. I would LOVE to be your mom. I am currently in training to become a CASA. I feel I should have fostered/adopted many years ago (I did adopt one, but should have adopted more), but I can only start here and not in the past. Thank you for sharing your story, Shane. It has impacted me. And PLEASE, if you would consider adopting me as mom, get in touch!

You fought through such diversity and became an amazing person! You accomplished what so many foster children strive for. You are and excellent example of faith and hope! I'm sure there would be many people out there that would love to call you son!! And you have a heart of gold to go out there and help the children that are in the same situation that you were. You give the hope that there is a better life and a better path! God bless

Thank you for sharing your story, Shane. Like so many others, I would have been proud to be your mom. It saddens me that there were families that wanted you and would have loved you with every ounce of their souls, but for discrimination, recrimination, the passing of false judgements. In this world, there is so much needless hurt, but we keep going on, making a better day, loving as we should--living as we should, sharing as we should. After all you have been through, I hope you know now that you have nothing to prove--you are a beautiful person whether you are running a corporation or digging a ditch. You deserved a (safe) home then and now.

Carla Stevens I wish I could have known you growing up,!!! Still a hardship for me. I wrote a book which I am trying to publish but due to lack of knowledge and no one to call for advice, wisdom or anything else for that matter; it feels so hopeless and unachievable but I also know that God (Jehova) will exalt the lowly when He's ready. HE also has a special place for the fatherless and orphans. Feels good to be loved by God🌞

I was a child who aged out of foster care. Now age 38. I finally got my own home had a beautiful baby girl. It’s a miracle beyond belief I didn’t end up in prison or dead. I did things to survive I wouldn’t admit on the internet. All the way to criminal activity and beyond. I was so depressed throughout my twenties I swallowed my self in addition a self hatred towards myself believing I wasn’t good enough. Attempted suicide multiple of times. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough! Lmfao! I have felt like I wasn’t good enough for so long I can’t remember. I also remember being strung through so many foster homes. 29 different schools. I got to a point in my foster care days. I wouldn’t even try an make friends cause I knew I would be gone somewhere else at any minute. I’ve tried so hard to be a good human being that now with trust issues. I’m not even sure who I am anymore. Either way I love this video a the dude in it was a fantastic inspiration. I have been through everything than man has said. I honestly wish I would’ve found this video yrs ago. God truly loves u

You brought tears to my eyes and a pain in my heart. I worked with so many young women that had to for reasons of addiction give up their children. I know their side too. They Love their children, it sounds insane I know and it took me many years to understand. These beautiful babies were products of a way of life that most have no clue. I don't know how, I just know that we have to start fixing this problem. As our poverty rate goes up we are going to see more homeless and addicted people.
