Asian Openbill, also known as the Asian openbill stork has a grayish to white body and black wings and tail with a hint of gloss. They have pinkish legs and a distinctive gap in the dull grayish yellow bill.
Black Necked Stork is a tall long-necked wading bird with an enormous black bill, black head and neck. They have a white belly and mostly white wings with a central black panel and a long reddish pink legs. Female has yellow eyes.
Black Stork is glossy black overall with white belly, very long pointed red bill and reddish legs.
Greater Adjutant is a large stork with a bare head and neck, pale eyes, and dark gray wings found in Assam, North and North East of India.
Lesser Adjutant has a red face and yellow neck. They look similar to Greater Adjutant, but has a more slender bill, all-dark upperwings, and often adopts a more upright, less “hunched” posture. They are found in Assam, Bihar, West Bengal and South West of India.
Painted Stork has a long yellow bill that curves down at the tip. Adult is primarily white with black striped markings on the wings and bright pink on tertials. Also note the bright orange face, pinkish legs, and speckled band across the chest.
White Stork is mostly white with black flight-feathers and a conical red bill found in the South and West of India.
Woolly Necked Stork, also known as the whitenecked stork is dark-brown with green-bronze iridescence on the wings and breast. They have a distinctive white ruffled neck, a white tail, and a dark salmon-tipped bill.
