Dinosaur, raccon, deer. Any animal jumping out of a bush into your camp late at night is a big shock, but yeah, of course no one would expect a dinosaur in a movie about dinosaurs after the plane crashes due to a bunch of pterosaurs.

I was actually going to watch The Dinosaur Project one time, but I couldn't get through most of it because I got disappointed when I found out it was found footage so I didn't watch the rest of it. Maybe I'll watch it sometime.

That t rex on the cover isnt a knock off of the jpark one. Its a highly detailed model by the french brand papo. Literally everyone uses its stock images on their covers so they dont have to create a cg model

I watched "Lost Tapes" a ton when I was younger! It's pretty special to me, I won't lie, but I definitely think some episodes were much better than others. My favorites were "Wendigo", "Hell Hound", and I also loved both the vampire episodes. "Wendigo" was DEFINITELY the scariest to me though. Honestly though, for as much as I love the show, I don't think it's incredible. Very nostalgic and special to me though, I just wish it could've done a few things just a little better....

If it helps, the SyFy Original Movie "Pterodactyl" also had trailers that featured stock footage from movies and documentaries, but the actual film had entirely original (and predictably awful) designs. Doesn't justify them using that footage without permission, of course, but if Area 407 Part 2 was doing the same, it's likely just meant as a placeholder and not the final product. Again, still stealing though.
