Love this! What makes this installment of your career advice savage are your parting words. The reality is that employers are well aware of salaries. You may need to leave to get more money. Because they are aware of pay, then you should consider leaving anyway. All things being equal and with no performance issues, no good company would allow a peer to make more than you.

Welldone, I’m fully qualified to be a graphic designer but I could never get into the industry, it’s so impenetrably male and very white. They’d always say that I got pipped at the post. So hearing you speaking about asking for higher salaries as a Black woman is brilliant ❤
