INGREDIENTS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees * bake crust for 8-10 mins and then place in the freezer to cool.. this takes about 10 mins to cool completely*
Crust:
1 Box Nilla wafers ( or cookies of choice such as butter cookies or chessman. you can also use graham crackers ..)
1 1/2 sticks ,melted butter
Pie:
2 blocks cream cheese ( soften or room temperature.. your can place cream cheese in microwave for 30 secs to soften if you don't want to wait )
5 lemons ( juiced ) for a mild lemon taste you can use 3.. but taste the filling before adding to crust and adjust!
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
* note * this pie can be refrigerated over night or placed I the freezer for 4-6 hours or until it sets* You can also freeze any leftovers to enjoy at a later time*

I think it depends on where you're from. I'm from the deep south small town Texas and we use Cool Whip instead of cream cheese.

I think people do it differently depending on where you're from. I grew up using a graham cracker crust, cool whip, a can of condensed milk, lemon juice, & a can of drained pineapple chunks.

Jesus Christ loves you. Cast your cares on Him! Find a nice spot and go walking or sightseeing. Eat fruits. Oranges really helps my overall morale. I understand not everyone wants to be around everybody, but don't leave your friends and family in the dark. Just tell then your depressed and ask them to be supportive. I may not know you, but I do care about you. Please stay safe. Pray... Weeping may endure for a night but joy is in the morning. God bless you. You can talk to Jesus. He can turn your life around. I'll be praying for you. Keep you head up! God is going to move in your life!

I just got home from the grocery store. Looks like I’m going back for these ingredients...and can I tell you how I’ve now made the pepper steak oodles of noodles dish 4x and got the ingredients today again to make it for dinner this week!?! It’s so freaking good! I can’t wait to try this pie. Definitely making it later.

It make cooking a lot more fun and stress free...like when making pie crust with cookies...and you put them in a plastic bag, remove air from bag, then beat or pound the cookies with bowl, or frying pan, to take your frustrations out on Miss Coronavirus....it works.. I made this pie earlier today and just now had my first piece and let me tell you...IT! WAS! AMAZING!!!!! It's so refreshing and so tarty. I love lemon and this recipe has lemon in it for sure. I have tried a lot of lemon recipes and it always made me mad because I could barely taste the lemon in it. I look forward to trying all your other recipes. My whole family loved it too! I've been making this pie since I was a teenager. I don't use cream cheese nor heavy cream. I use egg yolks, condensed milk, fresh lemon juice and a ginger snap crust. And i do not bake it. Because the lemon juice is an acid, it cooks the egg yolks. It is delicious. I will certainly try making it with the cream cheese and heavy cream. I like the variation. Thank you for sharing.
