Oah, so 0.025u should be used after each shave to refresh the blade.

@@diavalus This experiment, showed that with 0.25u diamond paste, the edge crumbles very fast, even with high quality steels and the shave soon becomes aggressive. A quality natural stone or artificial in the 10.000-20.000 grit range will hold the edge better and longer, without need to refresh after every shave.

@@ZenRazorJapan that is expected, to be honest. An apex which is so fine cannot last much. I use 0.1u diamond paste to strop my razors before each shave (and then strop on clean leather as well, of course). This makes the edge much more comfortable, at least in my opinion. But yes, I have to strop it before each shave on 0.1u, otherwise the comfort is no longer there after one shave.
