Nice review! Once again, you're the ONLY KZfaqr who adjusts the darn clubs... good on you! Why review an adjustable club in one "setting". Hahaha!!!

I don't know why there's not much choice in driver head size these days but I think it has to do with egos being bigger now. Back in the day we all hit long straight drives with little tiny heads compared to today's drivers. I say this because I am now rocking a small head driver from the 90s, and I am hitting more fairways and hitting longer. And with a 3 wood length shaft. I often hit over 300 yards with this secret weapon and people give me weird looks walking to the tee with it. I have not tried this Mini Driver and might like it but my 'mini driver' cost me 10 bucks with shipping.

I have the Aeroburner TP Mini and love it. It's a couple years old. I put in the bag when I am playing very tight courses. The TP model gives you a flatter lie angle and the face is a degree or two open. One thing I notice about my game is that I rarely use my 3 wood. Long par 5's I typically can't get home in two, so I lay up to a preferred yardage, short par 5's I can get home with less that 3 wood. I think it's a good option for players. Great review!

Really like the idea behind this. I don't play driver because I'm all over the place. I play 3 wood. Average around 250 with it. And I hit 2 hybrid off the tee alot. I do better with a shorter shaft. I want to hit this and the cobra f9 tour length

I bought 1. At 11.5 degree adjusted it to 9.5 degree and put a driver shaft in it and i hit it almost as long as my long driver but my accuracy is above 90% fairways. I love this club.

I'll second what somebody else said. You adjusted the club! Great! So many other reviewers will say "it has a slight draw tendency or fade etc" then we never see them use this supposed good tech to change it. Thanks another great review

I love this club! I have the 13.5 degree - off the tee I hit it on average within 10 yards of my driver. It is a fairway finder that until you hit it you won't believe it. Yes off the deck I need to aim left (am right handed) since the most common ball flight is a low fade - it is a rocket off the deck however.

I picked one of these up used. I mostly hit it off the ground, especially when the ball is sitting up a bit in the light rough.

Great review MN, as always. I gamed both the SLDR and the Aeroburner mini driver as I struggled with my driver some but I worked hard to get that fixed and suddenly the mini had no place. The idea is great and for some it may be helpful. But it seems to be a one trick pony due to the difficulty of hitting it off the deck.

Nov. 20, 2017 you did a video comparing 45.5" VS. 44" driver shafts and you were LONGER with the shorter shaft because your "strike pattern was more consistent". Makes one wonder if this Original One is looking to solve a problem that a shorter driver would be better at, and also leave a 3-wood in the bag that one can use off the ground with much better results.

I think for what it is, this performs really well. I would feel much more comfortable hitting this off the deck than a driver so if someone is using a 9 degree driver than this club at 13.5 degree should fit in the bag without too many dramas if it’s needed. There are some people who don’t like using S 3 wood so this may be for them.

I owned an original Taylormade driver. It was made in McHenry, Ill. The name was McHenry Metals, then changed it name to Taylormade. I have owned all there woods thru the years. I would like to see an all titanium model around 430cc, deep face with 441/2 to 45 inch shaft, like a reissued R-7 quad with new face technology.

It’s an interesting idea but I’m not convinced . Maybe just shortening the driver shaft would do much the same but with added forgiveness? I really think you have to be a pretty good player to use this off the fairway

Welcome to your 40's Michael! If you haven't already, let me warn you: Heartburn is coming if you don't already suffer. Vision will get weaker. Possibly need to watch more of your diet, even though you feel like last year! I like the idea of the mini; smaller head, technology, etc, but I just wish it came in a lower degree option. As it is now, I wouldn't replace my 3 wood or driver with this. Looks good though! Thanks again mate!

Michael, a few questions: 1. What do you think of that Mitsubishi shaft at 4.5 torque? I'd think it needs something like a 3.7 for a hard hitter? 2. Looking at your ball speeds, I'm guessing your swing speed is around 102-104mph correct? I'm torn about this club because it's only about 10 yds difference to my T3 and I'm looking for a consistent W1 and this is not a 1, it's more of a W2.

How can you have that much spin with it? Did you tee it to low? With my Aeroburner mini driver I spun 2300-2500 on good hits. Which is to high for me. But I had an carry at 276 yds and total at 296 yds in GC Quad. Now I have the original One 13.5* version on the way.

Im a really low launcher of the ball with driver. And I feel I struggle a little with long shafts like 45.5.-45.75. So I think I need more spin, do you actually think a club like this can give me some extra launch and spin and maybe even some extra distance. Im like 250-260 now.

Go see a PROPER club fitter. He can provide a 460cc head in 13-14 degree loft on a 41-42 inch shaft. The result: 20 yards lost vs a good tee shot on your std driver but fairway found %age doubled. The sort of golfer who needs help off tee shd be hitting hybrids or mid irons off deck - not a mini driver
