I started watching Russ’s journey when my girlfriend was 1 month pregnant and now I watch with an 11 week old baby in my arms. When things are hard I think to myself that if a man from Worthing (ginger, no less) can run the entire length of Africa, I can raise a baby. I’m going to feel like a crutch has been taken away when this ends

This was by far the most moving episode. It's crazy that you found the most hospitable, kind and generous people in the most unhospitable place in Africa. I worry about you night and day guys, I wish I could meet you in the finish line and celebrate with you! Thank you all for the strength and persistence, thank you all people of the desert for proving that the mankind is not a shitty as I believed. Stay awsome! Kisses from Greece!

The idea to put your fate on a mechanical failing Iveco van in the middle of Sahara is truly scary and exhilarating at the same time. Also the panic I will have to have to wait for a random tow from stranger in that environment is crazy. At the same time to see how people come together, with no reward, just by the culture of the desert, to help and be hospitable is just wonderful. I'm so happy for the guys to have this experience. Wonderful......just wonderful.

Such a heart-warming episode! I wonder what it is about the people of the desert that make them so welcoming and kind? Also it's extremely sad to learn about the drone strikes in Western Sahara. I was in Laayoune in 2015 and there was a large UN presence there attempting to keep the peace, but it seems the conflict is still very much ongoing. Stands in tragic contrast with the overwhelming generosity and kindness of ordinary people encountered in these areas. Thanks for highlighting the positives on this incredible mission!
