Stranded in a Heavy Snowstorm at Lahaul | The Jimny goes to Triloknath

I took the Rebo to Triloknath in Lahaul this March to attend the Yohr Festival. It was snowing when I started and although I expected the snowfall to be heavy, I did not expect that it would trigger so many avalanches in the Lahaul valley and cut off the road for over 10 days. But unexpected things always make for a great adventure and I had a wonderful time in Lahaul with my friend Suraj.

Oh nice.. glad you had that experience.. I managed to attend the last part of the Yohr in the Madgram village after the snowfall ended.. had to walk 10km to reach the village.

sir change tyres u will get better experinece in offroading on snow

Im driving on-road in the snow, not offroading.. and I have no doubt that AT tyres will help a bit but I don't have 30K to spend on them and snow chains will do a better job than any AT tyre would. Takes less than 5 minutes to put them on.

The stock tyres are fine for my needs when paired with a snow chain.. I will upgrade to All-Weather tyres if they become available in India. Maybe after a year or two..
