The stack of glass panes may also have been photography plates, they looked to be the right size. Have you ever run a metal detector over the spoils from these pits? I have found a lot of coins and tokens and keys that way

Tom’s rating system for his finds: 1. “Well…….that’s something?” This means not super common but not awesome. 2. “ Woah, now that’s something!” This means “pretty cool” and not very common. 3. Woah!!…. Now THIS is something!!!” This means that’s it’s pretty rare, collectible and he’s pretty stoked abt this one. 4. “OMG!!! HOLY GRAIL!!! NOW THIS IS SOMETHING!” This one speaks for itself.

For some reason I like the shape of the bitters bottles, the pickle jars, and I really like an olive oil bottle you dug up in a previous dig. What a fascinating job you have. I call it a job but as they say if you like what you do it's not work. And it's obvious you like what you do. Remember you are out there digging for all of us who wish we could.

I do love watching as you dig for treasures. You do not seem fazed by the left over excrement, which being ancient guess it is not dangerous. Me being an old female I tend to worry about such things as that. On the other hand your ability to find places to dig and the things you find is just so much fun to watch. My ex was a scuba diver and found places where in the old days people would dump in the water. Out of sight, so forth.
