Strategies my axx, the MicDrop BBQ is the new standard for all rideshare channels now, every channel should talk about how criminal Uber and Lyft are, you should talk about how we need to take cash rides, private rides and more, stop talking about nonsense like “ oh these are the strategies you should use when taking rides”, there’s no win for drivers when you dealing with criminals, they want to treat us like slaves, we need to fight back, I have blocked this channel already, just come here to leave this message

@@davidlee1467you will most likely say that about anyone who disagrees with you, so everyone is ignoring that. The fact that you are probably accepting cash rides just shows how ignorant you are. You're taking on liability and don't even understand what that word means. If you get in an accident and the insurance investigator discovers that your passenger was paying to be in your vehicle, your private insurance will walk away, wiping the dust of your policy from their hands. You will not have any recourse against them, and any injuries that were incurred by the passenger will be collected when they take your house away from you. If you're too broke to own anything for them to take from you, you will see a loss of your tax returns for the rest of your life, not to mention the fines and possible imprisonment that you will get from the local and state government when they find out that you are operating without a license. You are either a Rideshare driver or a taxi cab operator. You cannot just start acting like a taxi cab operator without going through the process of getting the proper permits, insurance, and licensing. As long as things go perfect, you may never see any problem by accepting only cash rides, but the first time something goes wrong, you will realize the idiocy of your decision.

@RalphFiscus
@RalphFiscus 3 күн бұрын
@@davidlee1467 Rideshare insurance is only something that your insurance carrier provides to add to the insurance they know the Rideshare companies provide. If you are taking cash trips, you violate the terms of that insurance because you are not using a Rideshare app, you are acting as a taxi without the proper insurance and licensing.

Hi Joe. I'm a MSP Driver too. My criteria: 1) Rider must be 4.7 or above, no exceptions! 2) If less than 5 miles for pickup, $1 per mile for destination ride. 3) If more than 5 miles for pickup, than $1 per mile for both pickup and destination. 4) And yes, bring back the rate cards!

I picked up a 4.6 rider last week on a slow day. He complained the entire ride about the price and how Uber is too expensive. Then that night I get an email from Uber saying a rider claimed I discriminated against them. I'm sure it was that 4.6 guy just trying to get his money back from Uber. I learned my lesson about picking up riders with low ratings.

It's hard to keep a 5-star rating on Uber. I'll accept long rides on Uber, especially NOT from the airport. Because I can, most of the time, talk them to "pay me off the app". And just wait out the timer and then cancel the ride without penalty. Airport long rides typically will pay less than $1 per mile on long rides in Tampa fl. And i NEVER ask to go off the app at the airport. They dont wanna be bothered with, and i never ask. Last night, i had a 50-mile ride offer for only $36. I accepted it. It Wasn't the airport. I asked really fast as he got into the car if he'd do the ride off the app for cheaper. He said yes. I asked how much he was paying and said about $63. I offered to do it for $50 on my cash app, and he sent it. While i was waiting for the timer to run out. I then had a $48 ride back towards my home city after doing a quick $8 Uber eats 3 miles from 7-11.

No one should be accepting trips that pay less than $1.50 per mile. If you average only 20 miles per active hour, at $1 per mile your active hourly revenue is only $20 plus tips. When it's all said and done, you will end up netting less than $10 per hour. You might be able to maintain your vehicle on $1 per mile, but not yourself.
@clynshotimages

That’s right $1.50 makes a lot of sense. If the day is really slow, $1.20 in my opinion for the basic category like Uber X. Anything below is garbage to me and quickly spit back that request once I see it by tapping the “X” button to decline.

Here in Salt Lake minimum fare seems to be $4.12. I used to have Maxymo do the math and auto decline rides that were under $1/mile but Uber and Lyft found this objectionable and have tweaked their app so the auto declines and accepts are disabled. Big bummer. I have found though that I can quickly see the fare and then add up the pickup distance and drop off distance and if the dollars exceed the total, I will generally accept. If you add in tips, my spreadsheet usually tells me I drove for anywhere from $1.25 to $1.60 per mile which is OK.

That was around the 3rd and 4th of July for the 60% turbo. I had that in Tampa, too. I see some good 50%, 60% boost coming up this weekend. Also, in tampa, I'm seeing $8 bonus hour zones early in the am. But Lyft riders suck at tipping usually. Most of my tips come from Uber riders. This week, Uber has started blackballing me. I’m almost only getting Trip Radar and UberShare. Even if I turn off UberX/Share, the XL and Comfort offers are ONLY Trip Radar. They are punishing us for cherry picking. I went to the airport, and Uber had me moving so slow in the queue, even though drivers were coming and going all around me. I have decided to quit rideshare permanently. They want us to be wage slaves that take every trip, even though in Dallas we don’t have any minimum fares or rate cards. I can’t drive for .50¢ a mile, but it seems there are lots of NUbers and third-world migrants who will. It’s been a fun 8 years, but I’m done.

Throttled for sure, completely ridicoulous. Sorry this is happening to you. I accept Share to kill the time, but everyone getes 1 star, don't get an F. Until Uber makes the Share a separate box to check off, then every Share gets 1 starred for wasting my time. The ONLY thing I like about it is that they can't add a stop and its 2mins, so if they're ass isn't toes to the curb, its an easy $6 cancellation fee and sometimes that's the entire trip I'm going to experiment tomorrow and everyone gets picked up for 2.5 miles for Share ride (don't forget to Stop Requests so no one new is added) - and they ALL get 1 star Keep an upbeat attitude and make sure they've walked away from the car, put your phone on the seat so that they don't see you 1 star them

I recently moved from Massachusetts to Florida and have been driving for uber in Orlando for almost a year here. Just a few days ago i get a email saying I didn't pass my background check because of a surrendered license. They ran my background check with my Massachusetts license which obviously was surrendered the moment i got a new one in Florida.
