This video shows a cascade number nine at night stretching AFO. This is one of several different types of Stretching AFO’s available. It is important to remember that your child needs to be comfortable in order to be able to sleep. We do have very specific regimen suggested for ensuring comfort but also working towards increasing the stretch.
You need to periodically, incrementally increase the tension in order for the AFO to be doing good work for stretching the musculature. Simply leaving at set at a certain point may not improve range of motion.
