Nuts that Pixel Dan getting figures so late for reviews. I already have this more than a month ago. Mattel serious need to send figures to Dan. Dan does a great job reviewing these figs

This really brings me some good memories. Back in the day, Stratos was the very first MOTU figure I got (along with the Wind Raider). Simpler, happier times. Not too different from the vintage, that's pretty cool.

Great figure...wasn't my favorite as a kid but ironically stratos and zodak killing it in this line!! I'm Mer Man for life but these figs are all nostalgia. 82 for life!!!

I actually like the lighter color gray on Stratos, but would have much preferred the red wing/blue harness combo.

It's weird they didn't go with the red wings with blue jetpack for this release since they're doing the Mini comic version which is also being made with blue wings and red jetpack. We could've had some nice swapability, but at least we can still change parts with the Rey Mysterio figure

If anyone has the Super7 Filmation 5.5 scale Stratos, he came with both the Filmation and 200x staff of Avion for this scale. Both work well with this version.

If you ask me, I think the production team screwed up the colors of the harness and the arm wings. It is clearly a color mix up.

Stratos really should have some weapon. Like you said since the staff features in the comic it should have been included (although I prefer the Filmation version of the staff of Avion) also while I get the nod to the vintage color variants, it just feels odd to me that he has the blue wings even in the comic artwork as Stratos has always been depicted with red wings in all other media throughout the various generations.

I bought one of the wrestling crossover figures... I think his name was "mysterion" or something in anticipation of stratos. I didn't like the look of his gear in the preview but the blue jetpack/larger red wings from the wrestling figure make him look so much better. Stratos is a favorite character of mine but I remember him with blue jetpack and red wings so I'm glad I can have him in that configuration.

I never had Stratos but I’ve always had a soft spot for his design. I really should pick the Origins version up at some point.

Just a heads up - if you can get your hands on a Masters of the WWE Rey Mysterio figure, he comes with the blue jet pack and red wings. Bonus is that they are the same molds as used in the Classics Stratos.

Mattel didn't get the backpack and wing colours back to front. There were two different variations of the original figure, one with a blue backpack and red wings, and one with the colours the other way around. My toy shop had both in at the same time, and I remember choosing which one I preferred at the time. There's a channel on here called 3rd Earth Reviews that has a review of the original figure with the colours the other way around. Where there is a problem with this Origins figure, is that I had one with one of the shin parts fitted back to front. I sent it back, and the retailer said all the ones they had were the same. So there's been some assembly problems on some of them. Didn't look as if the foot could be turned all the way around to remedy the problem

I agree the interchangeable parts are fun. I will say my son loves being able to take them apart and he goes for the the brighter colors over the vintage each time I ask him to choose. I still prefer the old vintage look but that makes sense cause I'm getting old and vintage. 🤣 Thanks for another great vid. 😁👍

That's an interesting thumbnail. He seems to have an invisible arm. Do you actually rip open the packages? Is there a way to open the package and preserve the cardboard and plastic? I think the removable body parts was originally a byproduct of the manufacturing process where Mattel engineered the action figures to be very easy and fast to assemble. I'm still looking for wave 2 and onwards. I'm surprised there's no weapon like a club or ray gun.

I picked him up today from Target for $14.99 (104 g) due to nothing else on the store shelves. Now I'm three MOTU Origins figure deep (Hordak and Orko being the other two). If I find nothing on my toy hunt tomorrow, I'll pick up more MOTU Origins figures instead of going home empty. Thanks again for a thorough review.

I'm planning to use the weapon from the Super 7 version on him. I do find it interesting that the diagram shows the pants are removable. However, those legs aren't coming off without at least heating it up and are not meant to be removed normally.

I'm glad I got Goat Man so i can give Origins Stratos the Staff of Avion inexplicably included with him, plus he's 7 inches and it's nice for Beast Man to have a much larger mook to order around.

I don't know why this figure is going for a hundo on ebay but they should re-release him as a Fan Favorite with red wings and blue wings, and then anyone who wants the other color scheme can pick up one of those card warming naked Stratoses. The Masters of the WWE Universe Rey Mysterio has red wings and blue harness/jetpack. The sculpt on the harness is a little different, but it's close.

Can't believe Mattel has done a cool line like this, but continue to leave the wrist bracers flesh colored. Epic fail. Always hated that.

And I wish Mattel would stop messing with the mini-comics for the UK/EU releases. They remove all the dialogue, so you can't follow the story anymore. It's just a series of nice illustrations. It's to get around rules about making things available in different languages for Europe - but the fact of the matter is most Europeans speak English, so it's effectively pointless.
