26 years of One Piece series the Dub made it to Episode 1,000 & it’s fantastic to he the English Dub voice actors in this moment when the Straw Hats look like they are unstoppable

26 not for the dub the dub only started in 2007 so it would be 16 years

@samuel-wankenobi The new dub started in 2007. Remember the 4kids dub did up to the beginning of Skypeia initially till 4 kids dumped it.

I'm so glad to see the dub is finally at episode 1000. I remember when I first began watching One piece in 2017, feels like such a long time ago. I even remember the dub's hiatus. That was not easy as a fan but I'm glad at how far it's come. I've always liked One piece and as an English dub fan this brings a tear to my eye. I can't wait to eventually have it all on home release and part of my anime collection 🙂

Haha, at least you got to skip the whole 4Kids era. Back in, I think, 2004, my friend pushed me to watch the Japanese One Piece DVD set he owned. Took some doing, but I'm glad he did. I got partway through Alabasta before hearing that there was a dub coming. Since I wasn't the biggest fan of Naruto (which was also a relatively recent dub), I was excited to get a dub of something I knew I'd like. The day came, and I was ready to watch it... And then the rap began. Don't get me wrong, the rap became a cult hit later on, but at the time it was kind of insulting. And watching Sanji unwrap a lolipop instead of lighting a cigarette was an actual insult. Kinda killed my enthusiasm for One Piece for years, until I decided to catch up with the manga (Just in time for the end of Marineford). I'm glad for the Funimation dub, because I can't imagine 4Kids censoring the series all this way.

There ain't no losing steam on this dub. The final saga is pretty hype, and as long as they do things with the same quality 'til the end, this dub train is going all the way to the final station.

All I hope for with the One Piece finale is that if Luffy's a grown adult by then, I hope his dub voice is that of an actual man instead of what Boruto did with adult Naruto and having the VA pitch their voice all the way down and even now, I still don't like Luffy's dub voice

I've always been a onepiece dub defender. I don't think the dub is better than the sub, but it's still a really good English dub. I love all the strawhats' voices and characters like doflamingo and crocodile have really cool voices as well.

Ooh those are some massive guts and I respect it dude hehe. I have no issue with the sub actors myself but for me it's just easier to watch anime in Dub. I don't have to draw my attention away from cool stuff to understand the story, not everyone can read fast and while I'm not slow at it it's still a bit irritating for me with the subtitles.

It's the voice actors in Texas that dubbed for anime licensed by Funimation, which is why you hear the likes of Eric Vale, Chris Sabat, Sonny Strait, Patrick Seitz, Brina Palencia, Stephanie Young, Luci Christian, Ian Sinclair, Daniel Baugh and Colleen Clickenbeard ad the Straw Hat Pirates.

Probably not going to happen since it wasn't on funimation in the UK I think there is some licensing problem with toai, crunchyroll and manga entertainment UK who releases the show on dvd and blu ray in the UK so just pirate it

I think it's the usual dub haters, also the negative stigma from the 4Kids version. Some people might just not enjoy it though, and that's fair.

It's a combination of elitist/haters, of cause like HazeX2 said the negative stigma from 4Kids. But also when you are used to hearing one version exclusively everything else just sounds wrong. I know that when I first tried watching the sub. (When the dub was on hietas). I had a hard time getting used to it. But now I can watch both without problems. I prefer dub because I have a hard time concentrating and I don't like reading. Will say that One Piece is one of the only shows where I actually really like both versions, mostly because the Japanese voices are really great and unique.

I don’t watch dub but the voices are decent. Never mind I heard luffy’s voice and jinbe doing what it sounds like drowning, contradicting him being a fishman.
