First let me say, I made the rice horchata recipe you posted a while ago. It was so good! I’ll try this one for sure! Just a tip for anyone who uses a Vitamix, this will blend so well that a regular mesh strainer will allow everything to go through , that’s why adding an additional cloth or using a very fine mesh is crucial. If not the horchata will come out chalky.

I made it and i tried using paper towels to strain the rice. Boy that was a total failure 😅 everything fell in my jug so i continued to make it. Boy oh boy was it good and my husband really enjoyed it as well! Thank you for the recipe! I’m gonna buy me a strainer 😂😂😂

This is such a good drink. Ugh I love it. What I do is just add powdered cinnamon and blend the rice after soaking for a long time so it’s nice and thick, and I don’t have to strain it. This makes it thicker and more delicious. I also freeze my strawberries to make sure it’s ice cold. To me it tastes like a mix of rice pudding, cinnamon bun and a strawberry milkshake all in one drink. 🤤

Thank you so much! I made this & it was the BEST drink I’ve ever had! I had to strain the strawberry & rice purée 2-3 times to get rid of the grittiness. And for those debating to not strain the strawberries, I don’t recommend it. I really like how you can taste the sweetness but it’s not overbearing

When we’re able to have family gatherings again, I plan on multiplying the recipe so everyone can try it. I may even try adding some rum to one pitcher. Thank you for the lesson! Sounds good I love strawberries in my drinks. I stay away from rice & white grains (I'm a health freak). In Puerto Rico we use toasted sesame seeds to make horchata with cinnamon, vanilla, sugar & sometimes coconut milk. Think I'll make this with sesame seeds rather then rice and no coconut.

This would be awsome too with a couple shots of rum in it!!
