It's fascinating, watching this video about two months after SF6's release, to see which parts were prescient and which aged like milk. Sakura absolutely needs to be DLC, though.

I really like the idea of Sakura as a protagonist. Popular character, makes sense story wise and it keeps Ryu in the picture as the master rather than the ex-protagonist.

Akuma needs an apprentice, too. His ending in 4 is all about a desire to teach Ryu, so he has the plot hooks to be set up as a master. Probably a new character who embodies a different angle of his brand of lawful evil. For a returning character, maybe Makoto. She's an implicitly angry character and I think Tanden Renki could easily be worked thematically into dark hado stuff.

If you don't know what's happening to Seth, let me explain: After Seth lost Street Fighter IV, Juri accidentally brings him back but in a female robotic body. And because of the malfunctions of the Doll Zero, he can't process his emotions correctly and it ends up making him want to exact revenge on Bison for dethroning him. But the thing is, he mistakes two other beings with Psycho Power for Bison due to him being mentally unstable. And once the two leave, he supposedly rampages through the city as he laughs taking on an imaginary Bison. If he were ever added as DLC in your concept, this is what I would imagine him doing... A year or two before the events of Street Fighter VI, he just so happens to reconstruct his body to look like the original Seth again, but the mental damage is already done. No longer a king, he has to deal with a hallucination of Bison as he desperately tries to kill him. As far as he can tell, Bison is not dead, he hasn't accepted it yet. But when faced against Master Cobra, or someone like that, they finally tell Seth that Bison is dead. Seth, of course, doesn't believe him at first and aims to take him down just because he still sees Bison. But once that thought has finished processing, he could only laugh at “Bison's” corpse knowing that Bison was killed before he could get to them. Now, as one last fight with Ryu, the one who finally killed Bison, commences, Seth proclaims: “I should've been the one to kill him! It couldn't have been you, I'll never believe you were the one who killed him!” And after the fight, Seth becomes too damaged to go on as Juri suddenly takes a stop by him and goes: “Y'know, I really need a replacement for my eye. You look like just the one that fits the bill.” Thus tying to what you've said about Seth becoming apart of Juri, while still including a bit of closure to his villainous descent to madness.

I really want to see a fully mature and hardened Alex in SF6. I feel like he was set up as this young rookie full of potential, but we never got to see him develop.

Now instead of the whole Sean having the most powerful special thing. Have him think of a way to use the Hadouken with a basketball and then the basketball can be surrounded by energy and instead of just being a linear Hadouken. You can bounce it off of walls or floor and point it in different ways

Sakura and Sean should be the two new shoto leads and make ryu the jotaro, the series protagonist that supports others. Also Alex and akira should stay mainstay.

An idea for older Batsu’s storyline. He can be the new principal of Taiyo High school and head of the Imawano ninja clan. This shows that he continuing his father Raizo’s wish to impact the world through education as well as Batsu becoming a more focused student and improving his studies as well as growing as a martial artist going from hot headed fighter to a cool and calm master.

I really like the idea of G and Q being part of some organization and the agents are given a single letter. I think it would be doubly cool if when members are working together they spell out something, which feeds into more of the narrative. Kind of like a team RWBY thing.

My biggest hopes for SF6 are that the story finally takes place after SF3, and for them to include Guy, Sodom, and C. Viper, those three characters definitely deserve a comeback.

I've felt that the series going forward should have been set around Yang, Yung, Sean & Sakura. Probably the best way to accomplish this is a new animated movie or series focused on them to push the devs in that direction. Kinda how the street fighter 2 animated movie did the same.

I would have Ryu offer to train Sakura then ask if she remembers the fundamentals. Smash cut to the days of Alpha where the tutorial starts. With each new section of the tutorial, we move forward to their next meeting in 2, 4 and 5; before getting one last lesson set during the timeskip for them most advanced stuff, capped off with a proper match with Ryu to put what you've learned into practice.

Man, for all of 5's faults it at least made an attempt at ending SF 2's storyline and bridging the gap to the events of Street Fighter 3, to just go back to Street Fighter 2 again for the umpteenth time would just be so frustrating; When I saw Luke, his MMA moveset, and his early 2000's MMA scene design coupled with G., Urien, Gill, 11, and Bison's death, I figured he'd be some kind of rival to Sean in 6 and that it could be set in/after SF 3.

Also, I feel like what SFV intended for Ed CAN work (and be used in conjunction to what you had in mind). But it requires a lot of context in between what we've seen already. Kinda like one of those "running away from your fate will only draw you closer to it" stories. Ed tries to move away from what he was made for but it eventually comes to a head that it can't be ignored anymore. But that leads to Ed realizing that this isn't for him but would prefer to do it in his own style. Enter your idea. Seems fine right?

Okay, a lot for me to unpack here that I gotta address. 1. This sounds awesome and makes me want to play through the whole franchise, even though I know this is all hypothetical, I like seeing an evolution to a franchise like this. 2. The idea of Juri having some new eye that sucks up people and copy them is creepy and it kinda works. Imagine her using other fighters as a fuel source for this new Seth eye of hers. 3. Making Sakura the new star not only mixes things up, but doing so might also make her more of a mainstay in future crossovers. Ryu’s main Marvel rival is Wolverine, having Sakura and X-23 be rivals would be extra nice. Heck, if they are planning a CvS3, maybe Sakura’s evolution will finally prompt SNK to continue Rock Howard’s story for a bit of synergy with Capcom. 4. This was a great video and I can’t wait for more. I thought a video on Dissidia Final Fantasy would be fun, but considering that they always use the same 20 characters and then some, maybe it would be better for this show instead of Build the Roster.

When sf4 was in development. They stated bison was alive during 3. He just wasn't "around" for the plot. What if bison absorbed rose after seeing what ever this greater threat is and masters his good and evil energies becoming a wild card character instead of the main villain. Like doctor doom

I still think Sakura should be living a normal life. One of the biggest appeals to me is that she is a working class hero, like Spider-Man. Whether she's trying to balance school-life with her fantastical double life, or her work-life with her fighting life, or school-work-and fighting, the troubles she has to endure to do what she loves and do what she needs to actually exist in this world make her very relatable to me. I think her becoming a gym teacher and then eventually a mother, all while trying to maintain her passions, is a very good idea. I have this idea of her intro in SF7 or something being handing off her newborn to her partner and then running into her starting position, lol.

Let's see the amount of "good idea" it is to make Sakura the new protagonist: Loved among fans: She's the most popular character according to the poll. Long time cast member: We've had her since Alpha. Being a good replacement for Ryu: She'd LITERALLY be so if she'd be his protage. Personality: She actually has a fleshed-out one compared to Ryu. Lovablity: She doesn't seem NEARLY as dead-serious as Ryu. Plus, she'd be a lot more aproachable. And she'd probably get more character development as well. Gender: If Sakura was introduced in SF6, then the internet would explode with rage since "THEY REPLACED RYU WITH A GIRL!!! REEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!", but since Sakura has been around for a while and the fanbase loves her, it'd be "SAKURA IS THE NEW HEROINE!!! SQWEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" Plus, Capcom would get free browny points for having a strong female protagonist WITHOUT shoehorning one in. So yeah, I think Sakura becoming the new protagonist and Ryu becoming an old mentor side character would be a brilliant idea for everyone.

SF3 was overshadowed by the Marvel crossover games, but now they can push forward with the series without issue. Honestly, now wouldn't be a bad time to merge the fighting game series together even more. Rival Schools should have more of a presence in the SF universe, and adding Darkstalkers characters isn't too left-field of an idea anymore. Or if they really need to send Rose back in time, then she can create a Flashpoint/multiverse situation where the events are completely different and maybe still incorporate other fighting games into the universe.

Maybe instead of having the main villain Z use Psycho Power, have him use Soul Power and be a villainous example of a Lawful Good character. This could even be a way to help flesh out Necalli as a guardian of earth (True Neutral) whose purpose is to kill any threats powerful enough to threaten the balance. I just love it when alignment is played with in unusual ways.

I love the 'Super Saiyan' idea - but let's add onto that, give it the term "Limit Breaker" - It's a bit cliche, but even a casual knows exactly what that means and it could even be used in advertising for the game. "BREAK YOUR LIMITS" (Although I think that's already been done...) But hey, one thing I would like to see is a Tekken crossover event - Like, Akuma is a character in Tekken 7's Story mode, no real origin for how he's a part of that continuity but he's technically a part of the Tekken universe in some way/shape/form, so why not do the same for a Tekken character? Why not include someone like Kazuya or Jin play a part in Akuma's DLC story with the Street Fighter origin of the Devil Gene being 'similar' to the Satsui no Hado (as alluded to in Street Fighter X Tekken) and have one of them try to take on Akuma, Ryu, his student, etc. as a sort of third party to disrupt everything?

SF6 What if's: What if Dan becomes Akuma's dark hadou apprentice? Master Ryu: should have sage powers from Oro. I like the idea of Ryu having an OP trigger that powers him up with the Power of Nothingness and doing some dope moves. New Generation: Menat, Rashid, Karin, Sakura, Sean, Makoto, Yun, Yang. --- I like the idea of having the next gen fighters be the main characters coming back. Then just having a few classic fighters as DLCs if we really should have them.

I got a fanfiction for sf6. A young bullied oblivious kid enters Dan's dojo to learn martial arts having seen and admired Dan's home video tutorials; except this kid is a genius, so he basically is taught by Dan but demonstrates his techniques in a far superior fashion, of course Dan will discredit the kid in that he still has a long way to go. After a while of training a new world warrior tournament happens, but their dojo isn't doing good as usual, so to again advertise the dojo Dan is persuaded by his apprentice into them joining the tournament, to which sets off their story. As the tournament progresses he somehow taps into the hado when he encounters a rival, or boss, or having seen his sensei get beat. At the end he encounters Ryu and learns about the dark hado.. SF7 then moves on from there.

Mortal Kombat didn't only do it once, they did it *TWICE*. MK11 ends on a 2nd god damn Reboot. Luckily it seems more like a true reboot so that's fun.

Ed is actually the leader of a group (neo shadolou) that is trying to save people impacted by shadolou. Essentially they're blue umbrella from resident evil. But the idea you have is nice, though.

4:44-5:51 They should have called Street Fighter 4 & 5 something else, given their placement within the game's timeline. I also found it weird that they finally made new sequel titles, but placed them in between 2 and 3. That's like counting from 1, 2, 4, 5, and 3. Here is how it could have been set up: Street Fighter I [Street Fighter Alpha Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter Alpha 3] Street Fighter II [Street Fighter Beta(IV's alternate title) Street Fighter Beta 2(V's alternate title)] Street Fighter III The reason I called 4 & 5 "Beta" is because of the second letter of the Greek alphabet. It also comes after alpha, which was used for the Street Fighter prequel titles. And since the titles of 4 & 5 came after the second Street Fighter title, I thought it would be appropriate if they had a sub-title of their own to avoid confusion with the number placements. Who knows where Street Fighter 6 will fit in. But I wouldn't be surprised if it came before 3 as well.

I want to see the return of unplayable "champions" like in SF2 "World Warrior." It just made beating the arcade more special, you HAD to get past Balrog, Vega and Sagat to win. They can become playable in a later revision (ala SF2 "Champion Edition"). I also liked the "personal rival fight" seen in SF alpha 3 and SF4. Also, it needs more Cammy. Capcom makes a lot of merchandise (pvc statues, action figures, etc.) off of this character (alongside Chun Li) and even just added her to Fortnite, it would be silly not to include her in the main roster. Plus the whole mystery with the dolls and Vega hasn't fully played out yet. It seems Vega may even be working for someone other than Bison.

It would be both easy and kinda challenging though since we don't know too much about any of the new characters that were gonna be in the game, but at the same time the gameplay would be easy because it would basically play the same as the original with very slight tweaks here and there. I'd also be curious about what you'd do for a Rival Schools 3(4?)

Oh my god thank you. I don't even follow street fighter that much, and I had the exact same idea of having Sakura be the main character. I love Sakura so much, and this is exactly what I've wanted. I didn't like the idea of Sakura simply settling down and not being a fighter. I don't mind Sakura maturing, but it felt like it was a waste of her potential to just demote her to simply being a love interest before even showing more of her personal journey.

This was a lot of fun! It's cool to see people care about these characters!
