World Tour mode is genuinely genius for the new-player experience though. Except for some Mortal Kombat 9 and 10, I've barely touched the genre, and got SF6 just because the character creator looked goofy. Then through World Tour, I got introduced to so many characters fighting styles though the master system, rather than through the standard 'spam buttons in the practice mode until it makes sense'. I got the chance to understand that Jamie, Dee Jay and Juri are my favourite characters without having to get my ass torn open in the online mode first.

The only thing I have to say about world tour is that it’s a brilliant attempt to to lower the floor to get even more people into fighting games. You learn your moves one at a time so by the time you’re comfortable with one you learn another. Match up times are instant with the CPU’s and if you want a real challenge you can pick a fight with a character above your level.

As someone who has never played a Street Fighter before. World Tour mode was a very good intro difficulty to teach me the mechanics of the game 1 by 1. Dunkey may have thought it was too easy, but for me it was a way I could actually understand the game and get better. The enemies as you progress go from not doing anything, to you getting rewarded for using certain moves on them high/low/grab, etc and I thought it was awesome for teaching the mechanics slowly to someone who doesn't already have hundreds of hours in fighting games. It is a very good mode for setting up the structure to understanding the game better. That being said, I do wish it had a New Game+ mode after you beat it or something to help continue the skill grind.
@coolman524211 ай бұрын

for someone who sucks at fighting games the world tour mode has actually been surprisingly fun and engaging. creating your own character is refreshing since a lot of the main roster isn't super visually appealing to me, and getting to swap out abilities from different teachers gives you a lot more creative expression. i can learn stuff more at my own pace rather than reading through a suepr long command list on the pause screen. yes a lot of the common enemies are super easy and don't do much, but later on you get to fight ones who actually pose a bit of a challenge (at least for a noob like me) and it's made me think more about my decision making and the tools available to my character. not a super engaging "story" either but i never expected that from a street fighter game to begin with. all in all great for beginners to take a more relaxed approach to the game rather than get your butt handed to you by veterans online all night.

World Tour is definitely designed for new players but it does get harder towards the end game. Both in terms of AI difficulty and in classic Elden Ring style - 1 grab takes of 40% of your health. Overall I'd say it was a good mode that helps introduce you to all these characters and tells a decent enough story. But the Mission design could really be improved. This game’s world tour is a genius idea where you look at every previous fighting game like Ryu hating spiders.
@AirLancer11 ай бұрын
Ryu hating spiders has been an established trait of his, but you'd never know before unless you decided to read the Street Fighter fan wiki or something.

I like the single player mode because you get to fight on the street. It has an optimal amount of streets per fighter and that’s what Streets Fighter is all about.

I feel like Capcom laid the foundation for something great with this World Tour mode, as long as Capcom is willing to improve it in the next title. It really reminds me of Mortal Kombat Deception's Konquest mode with a hint of Yakuza in it.

The part about the 3 AM test is too real for me. I've been sleeping terribly the whole week, because every night I try to play "just a little", the I look at the clock and it's nearly 4 AM already.

Because the "difficulties" seems like a really low bar when its a simple mathematical question: "if you only need to recruit 4 people, and all you need to teach those under you how to recruit 4 people again, how long does it take to hit the global population?" Answer: the 17th generation already need interplanetary recruitment to hit the target :D
