In episode three of SHOW & TELL, MARC RIBOUD IN JAPAN, writer and photographer Stephen Leslie looks at one of his favourite photos by the great French photographer Marc Riboud and uses this as a springboard to discuss various concepts such as photographic overload, self reflexive photography and talking utter bullshit while fabricating a little known yet chilling story of photographic revenge from a posse of angry, famous Japanese photographers.
Taking in images by Riboud, Bob Collins, Martin Parr, David Solomons, Jeff Mermelstein and others, this episode is a fascinating, insightful and eventually completely preposterous look at the story behind an iconic photograph.
