Some info on the bow: ( taken from strikerbows.com )
For the first time, Striker Bows is offering a takedown recurve bow model with the option of interchangeable limbs. This option gives the ability to universally change out limbs on any takedown model without the need for custom fitting the limbs to the riser. This step helps bridge the gap between a custom fitted takedown model and a ready-to-go takedown model.
The exact bow poundage is listed on every bow we make, and will fall within the poundage range you select, at a draw length of 28″.
Classic TDR Standard Features:
Modern recurve limb design
Universal interchangeable limb system
Bocote wood riser and limb veneers
Laminated wood and clear Gordon glass
Forward handle design with thumb rest
Action bamboo limb cores
*NEW for 2018* Red Elm and black phenolic riser striping and overlays
14″ riser height
Overlays on front and back of bow handle
Felt rest & side plate
Sight window cut past center
Phenolic reinforced front and back tips
Fast flight string with woolie whisper silencers
Finished with a matte style finish
Brace height: 7-1/2 to 8 inches (from string to throat of grip)
Each bow is marked with the exact poundage @28″
Physical weight of bow: Approx. 2 lbs
Available only in 60″ length
Poundage will vary +-2lbs from marked poundage per industry standard.
All poundages rated at 28 inches

Welcome back Jim, nice day in the woods, fun video! Nice looking well made bow, glad to see a review on a 'daily driver' go-to bow, one that brings a smile to your face. Probably the first thing I do with a new bow is twist up a B50, I find it makes the bow shoot better as well as quieter. Too bad about the chrono, watch out for your camera.

I dont know what is more majestic, Jim or that bow setup. I love my striker and cant wait for the new custom bow they are building me. I'm a one piece longbow kind of guy but all of their bows are beautiful, not to mention they have the best customer service out of any business I ever had to deal with.

I love a short riser, my current favourite bow has a 15” riser making a 60” bow. That’s a really nice looking bow, but that sight window would be a deal breaker for me, and not being centre shot. Great review, and it’s nice to know that great looking bow that is WAAAAAAY out of my price range probably wouldn’t suit me after all, my wallet thanks you. Love the videos, hopefully we won’t have to wait a year for your next review.

Ruben V I do try where possible, but I don’t tend to have my lapel mic on when I’m filming the montages, and the sound that the camera would pick up would also include the motorway that runs along side so all you would hear is the jarring hiss of traffic noise. But I do try to include that “thwhip” where I can

Question if you don't mind did you do a full video of the 2017 Gathering, I watched the little teaser but have not seen the full version. Do you find that the smaller sight windows aren't as much of a problem if you cant (kant?/tilt?) the bow? Looking at my next bow will probably be a 17" riser but the sight windows are a lot smaller than what I'm used to.

Great review. How can I win one of your old bows?
@kristopherballinger1670
@kristopherballinger1670 5 жыл бұрын
Okay Mr. Jim... I have found myself in a pickle. I have been shooting my bow since I was 4 years old and I am now 21 but I’ve always shot right handed in that time frame. My current bow is 45lbs at 28” but with my draw it’s around 47-49lbs. I was recently given a left handed bow and never thought anything of it. Well the other day I was just wondering what on earth I was gonna do with it. It’s a 50lb Shakespeare Necedah x-26 58”. So I decided to just go try it out just out of fun. But I ended up finding out that I shoot better with it left handed than I do with my right handed bows. It feels more natural and I’m much more consistent. But I am right eye dominant so I was gap shooting it and driving tacks anywhere from 10yrds to 40ish. So my question is, should I make the switch to lefty or just forget about it and keep doing what I’m doing with my right hand bows?
@ArcheryAdventures
@ArcheryAdventures 5 жыл бұрын
Kristopher Ballinger That’s a tough question buddy.... that can ultimately only really be answered by you? Although I do always say shoot which ever feels the most comfortable, and what yields the best results. I’d spend a little time with both and see which one you come to naturally? There are no laws written on a stone tablet that says you have to do it one particular way :)
@kristopherballinger1670
@kristopherballinger1670 5 жыл бұрын
Archery Adventures okay thank you! Also, can you adjust the tiller on a hoyt game master 2? I’ve tried looking for answers but didn’t have any luck. And the manual that came with my bow is actually for the tiburon which is similar but not the same. I was just wondering if you knew anything about it? It doesn’t seem like I can but maybe I’m missing something.
@ArcheryAdventures
@ArcheryAdventures 5 жыл бұрын
I’m afraid I don’t think you can buddy, You can on the Tiburon because of the Formula fitting on the limbs, But without some serious tinkering you are locked into place with the limb fitting on the gamemaster
