Today we explore a mansion where everything was mysteriously left behind. I was later joined by a demolition crew and my video had to be cut short

I just have to say.... It must take an ENORMOUS amount of self-control and restraint to explore places such as these, which have CLEARLY been abandoned for years, without taking any "souvenirs" with you upon leaving. I've always found that particular aspect of the UrbEx community to be quite admirable. 👍🏻

When did it go vacant? Grab the address, go to the county assessor online. You can look up tax records. Most state and local make them available to the public. You can see when taxes were last paid. Then find the owner. Check obituaries. (Marriage and death records are usually not available until a certain period depending on municipality) Court dockets are almost always available online.

There may have been a death of a child. As you were leaving the living room, it looked like a portrait with three kids. I would say the mattress on the floor belonged to either a squatter or an older child who wanted to stay on after the move. There was definite lack of maintenance either through neglect or disability. It takes a long time for a toilet to get that stained. You should open up drawers. That's where a lot of interesting stuff is often found.

One thing that goes through my mind every single time I watch these type of videos is how people put soooo much value on ‘STUFF’! It’s junk. You don’t take it with you. And most of the time, nobody wants it. Think about that when you go out to spend $$ on stuff to fill your home up with etc.😕 It’s truly completely transformed how I look at my stuff. It also saddens me when I see family pics/memorabilia laying around rotting. But this is what can happen when people pass away and perhaps they have no family or they do but they live out of state and don’t want to be bothered with cleaning all of that up. It’s a lot of work.

Same. I know what you mean. My mom was addicted to meth so we moved so much and lost so much. Everything was just left behind and never cleaned so I can see the side of a landlord and why companies are used in areas that are rough. I grew up in rough areas and conditions but never thought about it and made the best of it. My sisters and I were very close and growing, surviving and trying to make the best of it as we could when we would go months without food I mean 0 food anywhere and when my school figured it out since us girls kept our mouth shut because we were protecting our mom but the manipulation man was deep in my family with you speak no words on anything and my dad and his wife were also doing “legal” drugs now but with my dad and his family it was the addiction to beer and Jack Daniel’s 5th bottles only (2-3 a weekend Saturday night). I don’t regret my childhood or youth because it made me stronger in my skin but at the time I couldn’t see or feel that I felt like a tethered disaster therefore now as a mother myself I see what Not to To and how to be a different parent and go the other direction. I don’t hate my parents as I can see they had an addiction and my mom got off all drugs and alcohol when I was 20 or 21 abouts. I don’t know how because I had to separate from her and her side of the family for years to figure stuff out and my husband and I were expecting our first child and I had an extremely rough pregnancy and his job was a traveling job so I seen him 3 times my whole pregnancy so we both went through the thick of it.

I think the original owner was an elderly widower(walker spotted) who smoked and on oxygen(copd) and they had their children and grandchildren living with them possibly taking care of them.(Bed downstairs for easy access) The house was certainly big enough. And eventually when they died their kids decided house was too big and all the different taxes that came along with it were too costly.(property taxes, inheritance taxes etc.. I'm sure they received some offers from whoever wanted the property and sold out. As for all the stuff left there they would be downsizing so that's why it was left behind. Thanks for the tour!

Is it normal for a demolition company to strip out those things and to also to teardown parts of the ceiling to be sure it's okay to have the house demolished? At the end of the video, the creator said a demolition company was going there. Out of all the years, if it was abandoned and suddenly someone just show up like that, makes me think the damage to the ceiling, and carpets pulled out, has something to do with it?

3:31 those little things on the shelf symbolize the lady that lived in that house the fact that the bed is gone from that room that means that she died there. They probably grabbed all of the super expensive stuff and the stuff that was important to them left the other stuff and then got into arguments over the place considering you said there was back-and-forth over the family and then it probably just got abandoned Unfortunately, when older people die and kids start arguing, life gets in the way and you end up forgetting about stuff and that just looks like stuff that they didn’t care about they got all the good stuff and left the rest unless you find something greater later But these videos are pretty cool

The 1st thing when you walked in,I thought another person was with you; (a girl)? I swear I heard a voice, then again shortly after that; (like someone breathing that couldn't breathe well)? When batteries suddenly drain, thats often due to Spirits draining them for energy. I hope that wasn't a dead pet you smelled in the basement. 😔 I agree, this may have been an unattended death. If so, (her)? heartbroken family may have just taken whatever valuables there were, and left the rest. Its tough when sick or older people don't want to move into full time care or have ANYONE ( not even family), there to care for them (stubborn). That may have been what happened here & her family was far away, or super busy & couldn't get away to check on her.😔 great explore!

How does everyone feel about taking things from abandoned places like this? Example like the shoes . Perfectly fine look brand new .. just sitting there . To end up later on in a landfill (I would assume). Sometimes I see places like this one it has so many reusable items. I personally think I would .

I'm curious to know have you ever posted a " exploring an abandoned insert building type here " and had the original owner/occupant or family members contact you?

I don't know why, but it's just very eerie when all that stuff gets left behind. Like what was their rush on leaving?

My guess by the walker and oxygen tank the person may have been older and passed away. The family may have not known what to do with it or it’s tied up in an estate.

That last thing you picked up was a bipod for rifles at the end of the video. Also lots of signs of suspect substance abuse in the pRon room. Raw mat, camer ring aimed at bed, insulin needle caps.on the floor.

Yeah that what I was thinking the entire video. From the first 2 mins at the beginning. See sadly I spend the better part of 2 decades completely strung out. I was soo far gone it blows my mind how I'm still alive today and made it thru it all. I got a 5 million dollar inheritance, and every single dime every damn dollar was spend on my crippling drug addiction. Breaks my heart to see if his. As soon as he walked in I said wow this place looks in the exact state my house was thru my addiction. Brought back some depressing hurt memories. Especially the cigertte buts in the corners of the room and on the window seal.. the house I was in was only 500 squrae feet tho. It's makes me wonder just how deep this rabbit hole of addiction and abuse ran with in these walls, bc it's mind boggling the size this house. Every single room looks exactly to a T like my house. Well it looked like what the inside of my head looked like at the time... I'm just speculating here I don't know for sure but. It seems like a possible simpler situation. Seems like a member of the family passed and someone was left funds and possible property or maybe allowed to live there when other family members disappeared in a world of depression. Leaving a child behind with all that. Being so rich the child never learned how to care for anything around her. Always done for her. So when she was alone an addiction spiraled severely out of control. It's possible the child overdosed recently or something bad happened at the house possible od leading to someone being taken off to a detention facility thus leading a family member back to see the total disary and lack of humility and humanity could handle it and wanted it demolished. I have a similar story and that house just screams early child hood abandonedment. Breaks my fuckin heart. I'd like to know more tho.

Strange ! The wireless router seems really out of place and time for the house ! The router has 3 or 4 antennas which means it's not more than 5 years old. Someone squatting there used it. Can't imagine how they connected to the internet ??

Unbelievable...we have many like this in the UK, and hard to believe no relatives, BUT you'd think if there were debts they would sell these places to pay them off.

If you're choosing to leave a house and contents behind, maybe people could be informed about the departure and allowed to come over and take what they want or maybe people from a church or service group could be invited over to take useable items. There has to be a way to prevent such waste, but at this particular house there's something odd; like a multi-generation family went away suddenly. Something seems wrong about this place, fascinating though it is. Also I'm curious about the age of the house: some of it looks to me like mid-century into the 1970's while other parts look much older. The staircase and the paneled doors have the look of the first half of the 20th century. I think we're seeing a house that has been renovated and that was maybe enlarge as well.

One of the commenters said that their aunt knew the people who owned the house, in reply to a comment left by @StarsForward, while likely not factual it makes the most sense of all the theories I've heard

this house was probably abandoned around February of this year, as there was a can of the Starry drink, which started production in January of this year

Anybody else get to thinking this looked weird? The door rotted in such a way that it looks like the paint was splintered by kicking it in from right next to the knob, like a trained professional. Parts of the carpet were removed prior to inspection for demolition. That stairwell looked like a fight scene from Hollywood. Furthermore, the demolition company happens to be there the one te somebody patrols the property?

My mind is racing to think this family vanished and left everything behind. No other family to claim the belongings? Definitely squatters ransacked the place, that’s where the cigarettes butts came from. My heart breaks thinking this family was killed in a sudden way and never returned home.
