Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner looking to take your fitness to the next level, this kettlebell power workout, strongman style, is the perfect way to challenge yourself and achieve real results. So grab your kettlebell and get ready to sweat - your body will thank you!
💪 Full Workout
Exercise #1: Turkish Get Up
Start on your back with the kettlebell extended directly over your shoulder with one arm, have the leg on that same side bent at 90, roll to your elbow then up to your hand, sweep your straight leg back into a kneeling position right under the kettlebell - come up to a lunge position then drive through the heel of the front foot to a full standing position with the kettlebell directly overhead in line with your shoulder then reverse the motion back down to the ground and repeat with the other side. Alternate side to side for 6-8 reps each arm.
Exercise #2: Kettlebell Swings
Grab a heavy kettlebell between your legs, brace your core and use your hip drive to swing the weight up, not your arms - your arms are just along for the ride. Be explosive with these and aim to raise the bell to shoulder height with the power and momentum driving from your posterior chain and hips. Perform 6-8 explosive swings with constant movement - no pausing at any point.
Exercise #3: Kettlebell High Pull
Start with the weight between your legs, then you are going to explosively drive the weight straight up with your shoulders as you hinge at your hips and drive them explosively forward. Be sure to keep your back perpendicular to the floor so you’re not hyper-extending, but use the momentum from your hips to help power the weight up explosively to shoulder height and control the weight back down.
Exercise #4: Double Kettlebell Squat Clean
Grab two kettlebells of even weight and place them in front of you. Squat down and clean the bells up to the front rack position on your shoulders then drive through your heels explosively with your core braced to a full stand, squat back down, return the bells to the ground and repeat for 6-8 reps.
Exercise #5: Kettlebell Dead Snatch
Set a kettlebell on the ground between your legs, set up in a deadlift position, core braced, back straight chest up - grab the bell with one hand and explosively drive the weight up finishing in a standing position with the kettlebell directly overhead, return to the starting position and repeat. Perform all reps on one side, then switch sides.
Exercise #6: Kettlebell Bent Press
Begin standing with the kettlebell over your right shoulder, lean your upper body to the left as you drive the weight straight up with your right hand until your upper body is parallel with the floor and your right arm is fully extended to lockout. Use your core to move into an upright standing position with the kettlebell straight over head, control the weight down to your shoulder and switch sides. Alternate side to side each rep for 6-8 reps.
Exercise #7: Single Arm Overhead Carry (40 Feet)
Finally, to finish off this workout, drive the kettlebell overhead with one arm, while holding your other arm out to balance yourself and walk for a distance of 40 feet, then switch arms and repeat. Alternate arms each length for a total of 6-8 lengths.

when you do your dead snatch, when you re about to let the weight move on top of the arm, squeeze the weight so it wont bounce off of your forearm. not that im a pro, but its a handy advice.

Long-time kettlebeller. When performing the snatch(or Czar since it's the king of all kettlebell movements. ). Use a hook grip. Just fingers. Snatch the KB. As its about shoulder height. Start to do a high pull. As you start the pull towards the shoulder. The KB will start to slow and change trajectory. The KB will start to feel almost weightless. At this point. You move your hand. By rotating under the KB. You move your hand around the Bell. Not the bell around your hand. As you do this. The bell is floating. There should be no slapping of the forearm. It should be a smooth transition. From here the bell has been rotated 180 degrees. The handle was say east. Now it's facing west by way of traveling south. If up is north. Once the rotation is complete. And your timing is on point. You finish the movement by pushing up and the handle is facing north. If you squeeze the handle to slow the bell. It can rip calculus. Or it will cause your arm to stop its upwards momentum. Cause the bell to strike the forearm harder. Kettlebells are great tools. Hope this was helpful.

I bumped into this video 2 years ago. I had no kettlebells and I was out of shape. 2 years later, I have 16kg, 20kg and 24kg kettlebell (Bought this one today) and a 6kg clubbell. The 24kg KB will be heavy enough for me to finally try this workout. (I didn't remember the name of the channel except for the word "blue". So I typed in "kettlebell strongman blue" and found this video again :) ) Let's go.

What's the difference between circuit and linear, if you dont mind explaining. I wanna lose some fat as well From a guess, is it all the different workouts right after each other as 1 set?
@therealest3075
@therealest3075 4 жыл бұрын
Thotty DaGod yes. Circuit is like a circle of exercises you do one after the other and once you complete all exercises and their reps back to back. That is 1 set. Linear is more of a line, only difference is it’s 1 exercise at a time. An example would be, you got three exercises, push ups, sit ups, and squats, 3 sets of 10 reps. If you were to do a circuit, you would do 10 push ups, then 10 sit ups, and 10 squats back to back with no rest. Once you complete the last exercise which is squat, that will be 1 set and you wait 30 seconds and do it again. If you were to do linear than it would be 3 sets of push ups first, then you move onto 3 sets of sit ups, then 3 sets of squats. Both styles will promote fat loss and muscle gain, although circuits which are usually hiit (High intensity interval training) promote more fat loss and toned muscles (not much of bulking) while linear which is usually stuff like what weight lifters do, promotes fat loss less (you’ll still lose weight) and is more for strength which will tone and bulk you up a little. Depending if you are doing workouts with or without weights. If you want more information or any more questions you can ask me on Instagram, which is murphyrylen.

Good workout. It's easy for people to criticise the form of cleans and snatches but everyone has to start somewhere. I don't know anyone who has perfect form on every type of exercise so just enjoy the workout and work on your own form people. I know I'm not very good at the bent press but I will still incorporate it in my workouts as each time I get a little bit better. This is a good workout with movements which will work pretty much all muscle groups as well as giving you a good cardio workout.

@aguy1

True that everyone has to begin somewhere, but if you are providing instruction to others who know less than you, it's more appropriate for you to know the correct form. Bad form can result in poor performance or injury. The set-up and form in at least three of these movements are off. The high pull shown, for example, puts the shoulders in a position of internal rotation under a load. Over time, this can lead to impingement. Having said all that, on a positive note: If the demonstrator here learns and develops proper form on all these exercises, this workout will be an A+! More effective and safe for those who watch. Great video, good excercises, poor form. Especially the cleans & snatches. No wrist rotation, no punching through the KB after the high-pull of the snatch. I could see some fairly good snatches though: before the overhead walks the 32kg kettlebell was heavy enough to correct the form. Maybe the 16kg ones were too light.

Great vid I agree, that barbell wrist on cleans is kinda wrong. As far as I know your palm should be in horizontal state in relation to your forearm. Might be a light weight issue though, dude is in perfect shape he knows his body better that anyone. No offense hopefully
@wachtlerviktor
@wachtlerviktor 3 жыл бұрын
@@Rivalspin Not only the cleans were the issue. The TGUs were nicely done and the form was all right, however for a big dude like him 16kg was a babyweight, I wonder if he could do 32kg getups. Swings: he explains the excercise well, but the execution is poor, he uses his arms/shoulders to drive the KB, his head is moving up & down, cannot keep a neutral neck, his shoulders are not pulled back, High pull: shoulder blades are not pulled abck either, lots of ibternal rotation, could easily lead to injuries. Squat cleans: externally rotating the shoulders and elbows, squatting and cleaning are not synchronised. Danger of injury. Snatch: the above mentioned issues. Bent press: no rack position, light weight for his size (but heavy for his skill level). The bent press was developed to make people press heavier weights overhead that they normally can, by using the core. Waiters walk: finally something which is done correctly... The dude is in great shape, but clearly lacks knowledge of kettlebelling. If someone who is not in that shape copies the workout with similar weights they could have injuries that could break their carriers and fitness opportunities. If you do not know something, do not teach it.

You have to work in Your Hand grip, the wrist should not bend. When doing the Swing You should keep the Bell closer to your groin and should not be bending your knees that much, your mixing a little bit your Swing with the Squad, not lock Just slightly bend, the will foce You to engage more the posterior chain and not the quedricpets. Hi, Matt. Thanks for great workout protocol! I have a set of kettlebells - 15lbs, 20lbs, 25lbs and 35lbs - one of each. For exercises with double kettlebells, can I use two kettlebells of different weight, alternating sides to keep muscular load balanced? For instance, I do double squat with 25 and 35 lbs kettlebells, switching them between right and left hands? Would this work or should I buy extra kettlebells? Thanks and keep making great vids!

Hey, First of all thanks for this damn work out. It looks really heavy! But I don’t know when I have to the rests... so if I’m resting in each set for 2 min. It will take 8 min.( rest time) and if I’m doing this for all 7 exercises I will rest 56 min and work 19 min
@BlueStarNutraceuticals
@BlueStarNutraceuticals 2 жыл бұрын
Because these sets are heavy, it requires more rest time to adequately recover. You can take up to 2 minutes between sets, if you feel recovered before that though, you don't have to wait the full 2 minutes. The goal is simply to keep the intensity high and pace the workout enough that you're able to recover and train with full intensity again in following sets.

We've got a few videos on the channel for dynamic warm-ups you can check out to get some ideas. The main thing is to warm up the body, get bloodflow to the muscles and move the joints through their natural ranges of motion to stimulate synovial fluid production so that you're in the best state to begin the heavy training.
