As an ex - Sales Manager & Salesman , we used to Shit - Ourselves if we failed a "Mystery Shop" ( A bogus camera- wearing buyer checking the premises , attitude of staff ...sometimes to the extent of an Actual test- drive ! ) thus wasting my time / no commission.. But also the Dealer will get FINED a lot of money for failure or a bad score , sometimes thousands is at stake , plus a potential sacking. If nobody approaches them ...ie .0 Score , did not acknowledge or speak to them,its a foot up yer arse in most cases. To have this happen as well , In plain sight .....on what looks to be a " Launch Day" for a new model...is all these 65 hour a week Sales Staff need IMO . I'm skint most of the time nowadays as I swopped trades for Log Burners but I'm well out of it 200Kid.

You should expect this with main dealers much better off using a independent small garage

I wish people working in customer service would grasp this quite simple principle, they are paid to get on with members of the public, there is no obligation whatsoever for members of the public to get on with them, they might privately disagree with them but they are the ones who are supposed to know what they are doing and know how to build good relationships whether that is with customers, suppliers or members of the public. The ones who can't do this should be looking for a more suitable vocation.

When the owner asked you to leave and you were outside then talking to him he said his staff had told him they dont want to be filmed but you then told him you spoke with the after sales lady next to him and she was ok with it then the reception lady but it was the after sales lady who emediately stood up from her desk after you spoke to her and she went to the side room and you could see her waiting for him the boss and then they went into the side room were she clearly told him you were recording her at her desk working, then they both came out the room were he went on his computer and she put her jacket on that was on the back of her chair as she was obviously then taking an early lunch break to get away from the camera recording her at work and then he approached you and asked you to leave and told you of staffs complaints of you recording them, so I dont think you should ever say staff were fine being recorded when you have it on film of their shock to it which they obviously have every right to complain to their manager about you how ever friendly you are being to them, so I did find this one abit cringe, I think if you walk in the show room maybe just go look at the cars and record instead of interacting with all the staff that way just one employer in sales will approach you then take it from there, then no one can ever say your bothering staff👍🏼

Some of these dealers are paranoid even though we and them are filmed everyday with their cameras, and to be honest it is good for us the customer as we are entitled to see our cars are protected to standards and not got scratches on wings through no covers being used and Jake is proving this.
