Askin's (aizen lookalike) power explained in the most simple terms: he can manipulate the lethal dose of substances around him, so he can make your own blood poisonous to you.

Fun fact: when Ichigo met fake Zangetsu/Yhwach for the first time in Soul Society, he tried to tell him his name but it was muffled out, because Ichibei had erased it from existence. Even in the manga panel, you could see name was written in the bubble but it was completely completely covered as if someone took a black pen and scribbled directly on the manga. Crazy foreshadowing by Kubo.

I already liked Senjumaru's character in the manga, but the anime made me love it! Her voice actress deserves a raise!

Keep in mind, Ichibei is literally 1 million+ years old, whereas Yhwach is maybe a few thousand years old. He’s a literal toddler in comparison, that’s why Ichibei treats him as such, and tells him not to use him name lightly.

Askin's Shrift (the Aizen cosplayer) basically turn into poison anything he wants for his enemy as long as he gets a "taste" of his enemy's reaitsu. Remember how he tried taunting Mayuri to chase and attack him and Mayuri didn't fall for it?

Asking power is a little complicated lol but basically he can manipulate the lethal dose of any substance or attack as long as he has been exposed to that substance hence why he was affecting oetsu.

I think a good thing to keep in mind while reading or watching this arc : We've now stepped into the realm of divinities, this isn't fights between persons with powers anymore, this is fights betweens the gods who can distribute thoses powers. The power scaling is on another plane here and the abilities too, I love it so much. Ichibei can distribute power by erasing name or renaming things, and Ywach ability is to take, split and give souls parts, and with it powers as he chooses, ence why he can give himself back his voice and his arms and self power when Ichibei cut them in half. BUT power comes from names in Bleach, so Ichibei's power will always surpasses Ywach one's cause he actually needs name to call out power, when Ichibei totally erase a name, Ywach can no longer draw power from it. Also you can clearly see, when he takes Ichibei "darkness power", it's the techniques wich inspired the badges from cour one, the ones sterritters used to capture bankai, the pose is the same and the swirling effect when it comes back to him too. So the medallions where likely engineered based of this power from Ywach in the first place. Be prepared to see more and more broken and godlike abilities from a lot of characters from now on, it really is the LORE and mythos arc of Bleach, and it's my favorite for this.

Fun fact 1000 Japanese Ri=2440 miles….which is the distance ichibei sent ywach flying at the beginning of the fight.

During that bankai of Senjumaru, it was full of foreshadowing. Even though it was an anime only reveal, it was a great scene to introduce scenes that will happen later on

"kubo was cooking" you don't even know how much he be cooking with Shutara's Bankai scene... Like it's absolutely crazy cool for manga readers for 2 reasons, and the 1 spoiler free reason being that it wasn't in the manga originally!!! She was also my favorite from Squad 0 originally, but got much less scenes so the amount of love she got in the anime has be SO AMAZING!

Considering you guys watched Breaking Bad, I thought you would get the "lethal dosage" part. Askin says here that judging from Oh Etsu's size he would require to have more than 2 liters of blood in his body to not die of Blood Loss. So, Askin lowered the "lethal dosage" of blood to 1.6 liters, meaning that if he has more than or equal to 1.6 liters of blood in his body, the blood would act as a poison and kill him. Do you see the dilemma now? He needs more 2 liters of blood for all his organs to function but blood above 1.6 liters is poisonous! On a side note I Mayuri vs Askin would have been hella interesting!

Watching bleach for a second time is definitely a good idea as there is a lot that can be missed initially. For example when byakuya is saying that bankai isn’t an easy feat when ichigo uses it the first time and states members of the five great clans or powerful individuals have only obtained after years of practice. Also that Ukitake says Ichigo looked like kaien shiba. Which we find out that they are cousins as Isshin is from the shiba clan.

Sternritter D says his power is that he can "lower the lethal dosage of blood in the body." So what I interpret that to mean is that he is saying he is changing how much blood in your body it takes to be toxic to you. So in other words, he's not changing the amount of blood, or even changing the blood itself, he's just making it so that the blood you already have becomes toxic to your body. That's what I understand, at least.

The animation in the end of the part series of bleach always have to be so perfect and focused to have great emotions experience whoever watches through here. The fact that bleach feels confusing at times is because it has many layers of complexities which are just thrown at you, which won't make sense at first. But as you go ahead, the explanations are there which makes a lot of sense, it's just they're so subtle you won't really realize them. For example, how did Yhwach got out of the Womb, I'm not gonna spoil it, but it's explained in future, including all the doubts y'all have. You can catch all the foreshadowings and symbolisms in the smallest of dialogues between characters. Like how Ichigo wasn't able to hear Zangetsu's name(Yhwach) the very first time he saw him. You definitely gotta rewatch bleach.

Easily one of the best episodes in the whe series. I. Still in awe. That's the Zero Squad I wanted in the manga. The others didn't question it at all, and immediately sacrificed themselves. I wonder what was behind the decision to choose her. 🤔I think it's because her bankai can take multiple enemies at once. In my observation I think oetsu bankai is only for a single target, hikifune and tanjiro's bankai is only for support like healing or something like that and only senjumaru's bankai can take all the royal guard including the successors That's only what I observed.

Askin manipulates the lethal dose of a substance around him If water is around he can control the lethal dose where water will start to kill, you Blood was around so he was increasing the dosage of blood inside the other gigachad black guy number 1 zanpaktou creator to the lethal level of dosages where blood starts to harm you, oetsu was basically was being filled with his own blood on lethal level.

The most underrated bankai

To explain askins ability “death dealing” in simple terms he can make anything “poisonous” to you by lowering the “lethal dose”(the amount of anything it takes to kill you) for example he lowered ohetsu’s tolerance to his own blood so his own blood was slowly killing him he can do this with anything like salt, reaitsu, and even air so just by breathing you start to die, by also raising his own tolerance to things he becomes immune which is why he is “unkillable” for example if he takes ichigos getsuga tensho once he can then raise his own tolerance to ichigos reiatsu and hence become Unkillable to any attack ichigo does since it won’t effect him anymore since his tolerance for it is so high

Honestly kind of crazy how much new stuff is in these episodes, (really last 3 episodes with the flashback in 24). They ended things earlier than I thought they would too, so I'm wondering if Yhwach vs Ichibei is going to get anything new because that was the one big thing that was basically 1:1 from the manga.

Basically, if ichibei paints you black and you lose your name, you lose all the power that was connected to that name and when he named him "black ant" he gave yhwach the strength of a literal black ant. He has an overpowered ability.

So, Askin's " Death Dealing " power is to manipulate the " Lethal Dose " of anything in someone's body. So in real life, there's a certain amount of sodium you're allowed to have within your body at any given time before it starts to actually hurt you, if you exceed a certain amount your kidney's could start failing or other vital organs can have very serious complications. His power, makes it so anything he wants will be fatal to you, and as such your organs start to fail rapidly. Like how Oh-Etsu lost his balance and was having major headaches while being affected. He made it so the bloody in his body was literally killing him by lowering his body's tolerance for it. TL;DR: He lowered his body's resistance to bloody, making it so his body was rapidly dying just by having too much blood in it. So, he can just kill you if he wants to use his powers on you.

This is not Yoruichi's sister but her younger brother (although he does look very lady like).

I'm hoping that they find a way to show Nimaiya's, Tenjiro's, and Hikifune's bankais too in the next cour.

Just to clarify that was Senjumaru's bankai. In my understanding Because each individual member of the Royal Guard possess immense amounts of Reiatsu, they can destabilize the three worlds by themselves should they unleash it all without restraint. Hence, the five members normally use each other's lives as seals to prevent their true power from being released.

The thing with absorbing everyone's power was a "selection" - the same thing that killed Ichigo's mother.

So basically do y’all can understand - ichibei’s power is he erased your memory of what you’ve learned on figuring, with his brush and he can give you any memories his brush hit before - he’s basically an author but plot kicks in for Ywatch Now for Shutars, she manipulates all elements with her fabrics through space and time so she can kill you with any element but at the same time it has you distorted in space time with her fabrics so you have no idea where you are while fighting the elements suited to kill you. I can’t wait until they explain and show it next season (for those whom haven’t read the manga) but ywatch is the ultimate plot armor- he took all the powers of the Quincy you’ve seen but didn’t use it here, he’s making ichibei drain his stamina first- Askan is a blood bender basically, he can kill/hurt you as long as you have a certain amount of blood in you. All crazy haxs lol

I know the other squad zero members had to die, so that one can use their true power but I am now curious what the other 3 squad zero bankais would be like 😩

1. Askins Schrift the death-dealing, put simply, allows him to essentially make anything he wants toxic to someone, in that case, he made Oh-etsu's blood toxic to him. 2. Auswahlen is the Quincy selection process that translates into "consecration", its literally what killed Uryu's mom and indirectly got Ichigo's mom killed. it was mentioned a couple times already in TYBW. 3. Ukitake was afraid of what was gonna happen during the second invasion so that's why he left to go prepare the kamikake, but what that means is a spoiler. 4. Ichibei is "the monk who calls the true name" which is monaka osho, not just because he named all the phenomena of the world, but because names have power and he has power over names. it's why learning your zanpakuto's name has always been emphasized, kubo has been seeding the importance of names throughout the series.

When Yhwach tried to say his sword name it got blurred out similar to that time when Zangetsu tried to say his name to Ichigo

In toxicology, the lethal dose is an indication of the lethal toxicity of a given substance or type of radiation. Because resistance varies from one individual to another, the "lethal dose" represents a dose at which a given percentage of subjects will die. So the power "Death Dealing" can manipulate the lethal dosage of any substance. So for example Methanol lethal dose for humnas is 1620 mg/kg. If he lowers this value to 200 mg/kg the Methanol becomes deadlier.

Askin (The aizen look alike) had a pretty stange ability but in simple terms whats basically happening is hes lowering the dosage (The amount of blood required for a person) meaning that the more you have would essentially be poisonous towards you and would eventually kill u. Since hes basically having u require less blood then you normally should. So Oetsu cuts himself in order to lose blood so he can meet the requirements for the lowered dosage but thats also fatal because well hes losing blood. So his ability makes it so that u cant have to much blood or to little lol and if u try to lose that amount you'd eventually end up dying to blood loss basically.

Auswahlen was the same technique by which uryu and ichigo's mother died.

[Tidbits & Clarification][Episode 12] - The fight sequences between Uryu/Hascwalth and the 0 squad were never in the manga - We saw at the beginning of the Series that Urahara is not above using people to see his goals through, so Hiyori's questions towards him are very poignant and likely in some way shape, or form true. - The DeathDealing allows Askin to calculate the "perfect lethal dose" or the amount of something that will cause death of any substance he takes into his body. He can then raise or lower that value as he sees fit, inducing a lethal dosage of that substance in those around them. (By drinking his Blood He can make blood lethal for example) - We see that Ichibei seems to relish in the idea of killing Yhwach, further expressing that He isn't some sort of figure of justice. - the Aucshwallen was the ability Yhwach used long ago that caused Ichigo and Uryu's mothers to die by stripping them of their power. - The scene with Giselle (Quincy with zombie powers) was so graphic that it made the episode rated M. [Episode 13] - Some people don't understand what Happened with Senjumaru's Bankai, But basically 0 Squad Bankai's are so strong that A. The can't use them in as the same time, clearly just 1 shook all 3 realms. B. It requires them to Sacrifce at least 3 to break the seals they place on the Bankai's. - Lille Barro's "X-Axis" is extremely broken, it has no travel time when he shoots and everything between the target and his gun is hit. - Further, we see Ichibei clearly doesn't respect or hold Humans in high regard, he speaks as if they are below him. This is dope because we see that he and Yhwach are practically complete opposites yet are similar in that they are willing to go to any lengths to win. Ichibei operates in in callous manner caring only about the Balance of the world, in contrast, Yhwach is a being that is forced to feel the suffering of humanity (or at least those that return to him) and he seeks to destroy the system that allows it (Ichibei's feeling of superiority is further on show when he turns him into an ant and steps on him) [Repost]

This might be a bit of a spoiler, but Senjumaru's Bankai literally weaves the fabric of reality and life. The way Senjumaru defeated every member of the Schutzstaffel, the incantations she recited, and the visualisations of their defeat are all related to the Schutzstaffel's demise in the future. So if it weren't for her Bankai, the Schutzstaffel would have won against Squad Zero and the Gotei 13. Yes, they'll somehow escape Senjumaru's Bankai, or maybe Senjumaru will release them. This part is unknown because this whole fight sequence wasn't in the manga, but we do know that the Schutzstaffel will face other opponents in the Seireitei based on the manga. Note that Senjumaru held back even in Bankai because she was told not to "overdo it" by Tenjiro. So that means she could have killed all six members of the Schutzstaffel instantly if she wanted to, but I'm assuming her true power would have detrimental effects on the three universes had she spent more time on it. Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami No Tsuji is truly the most insane Bankai we've seen so far in BLEACH, and we haven't seen the full extent of it. I've read the manga and the light novels, so many of the Bankai that will be revealed in the upcoming cours certainly impressed me, but not as much as Senjumaru's did. Of course, this is all purely my opinion, but these reasons as to why her Bankai was revealed make the most sense to me.
