Hello Sir ,one question in my mind what if i import solid model from any cad software , only thing is it may take time for meshing or solution?

And after import the part if I convert the whole part as single body , result will be the or it will good practice in industrial? Pls confirm Sir

Hello, you can direct establishe link between any cad software to ansys by using cad interface licence. Ansys also allow to import the cad files from other softwares too, you just to need to select the respective cad file extension while importing. Whatever Cad file you will import, you need to establish the connection in the ansys file either for sharing geometry or defining contacts.

Thanks for your reply Sir , After import the .stp file welded structure I can make single part instead adding connection. Or it will impacts on the result ?
