Ig are γ-Globulins , called Ab.
All Ab are Ig but all Ig are not Ab.
Produced by plasma cells and to some extent by lymphocytes.
Synthesis of specific Ig is stimulated by an antigen , a protein or complex carbohydrates that is foreign to the individuals.
Based on heavy chains there are 5 classes of immunoglobulins
These are immunoglobulins having antibody activity. (GAMDE)

IgM
IgD
IgE
