We just had our play today and it was... inferno of negotiations and unbeatable indians :P My impression is that its SUPER HARD to roll out troops if you don't have mercs or native militia, and also that taking tiles (therefore 1 regular 1 special action) is like a no-brainer, you are forced to play like that, at least in the first war, even if it means losing control. It also pays out to go through the first war as a "mercenary" yourself - actually putting units where your allies are and asking for 1 gold for aid (yeah, it's a risk).

I could be wrong, but think war office is a free action (so third action in a round) Updated: Reserves means you and the opponent in the battle have to reroll 😅 Both are once per war only. Old and wrong comment: And reserves let you reroll your own dice only.

I think at 9:45 can't do gold coast commerce in South America, need the ship to actually be in South America, for the 2nd action, also can't take a tile as Gold Coast and taking Tile are both special actions. Not criticizing, just pointing it out for new players.

While Slave Revolt in 38:18 did you count +3 strength to revolt?
