If you have a SBR, AR pistol or the queen of AR a dissipator, then you know the pure sorrow of not having a bayonet that fits. But fear not you flat range operator, if you follow the simple path laid before you in this masterfully produced video you will have a bayonet that fits! So sit down and watch as sparks fly and weapons are produced!

An alternate solution would be to make an extension that fits on flash hider so that the shorty can take a standard bayonet. The advantage of this is that when you're in stabby mode the longer thing is an advantage but you can easily go back to shorty mode by taking off the attachment and bayonet.

Thank you for the tip on the UAE/ Amazon bayonet, I just bought one for one of my new AR’s for some reason I like having a bayonet for my rifles that will accept one. Milsurp bayonet prices are astronomical now.

I never would've thought about having a bayonet. Then California said that I could not have one. Hello from San Diego. But we're safe from all those random drive by bayonetings, now. That wasn't a problem, before the law....

The current issue USMC bayonet made by OKC is the best bayonet in my opinion

The first Bayonet i bought is a Swiss m57. I really like it. I am currently machining a mount to adapt to the m-lock hand guard on my AR as well as a sleeve where the muzzle break is…. Am I wrong? Any thoughts? Does a mount like that already exist? Thank you for the video I’m intrigued!!

They make a m-lok bayonet lug that fits all the standard M16 bayonets, M7, M9,OKC 3S and all the foreign bayonets for the rifle. That said it sounds like a fun project so go for it!

You could always just get an L85 British flash hider and a British bayonet. It fits on M4/M16 threads. The bayonet mounts on to the flash suppressor.

Now do the opposite and make a LOOONG handle to attach a bayonet to a carbine length. I can't weld but I've wanted to do that for years.

a worthless piece of issue! tey'd be better off issuing a Kbar or bowie knife! hopefully those sharpen better than the original i had!! that thing wouldn't take an edge to save the world!!

@@VooDooTennessee well Branden to me if you're carrying something that looks like a knife you should be able to use it as a knife! afterall how hard would it be to take a k-bar a bowie or a Buck fixed blade hunter and add the bayonet mounting hardware to it turning it into a dual use piece? if the army is still going to issue them instead of a knife they need to be usable as a knife first and a bayonet second otherwise they're not worth wasting the weight when it can be put into another magazine!!

@@Sandhill1988 not really Branden's coming at it from a goofy accouterment just for fun angle basically gaudy gun bling, i'm coming at it from the practical having to carry one angle, my disdain comes from carrying one and having carried one i don't like the damn things and never will! but if you want to lug around a pig sticker fine put the mounting hardware on a knife that will actually cut and hold an edge then problem solved otherwise it won't be 9 months before it ends up in a footlocker and you hit the local sporting goods store for a good fixed blade for your gear!
