I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰 To be honest, I was doing kind of the same thing haha, I started drawing way before I got into design and I tried to teach myself how to draw by watching tons of youtube videos and I think it worked out pretty okay ☺️ I will definitely make one, if I can find the time so thank you for the feedback ❤️

Thank you so much for your lovely comments I'm really happy you enjoyed the video 🥰 As for procreate: I used the selection tool to select a rectangle and then I created a mask on the layer with the pattern with that selection. A mask is a layer you can put on top of another one and you can draw in black and white on it. The parts that are black will not show, while the white parts will show (I really hope this makes sense). The reason I used a mask is that I didn't want to actually erase the original gingham layer so that I can still edit the mask and turn it off and on without messing up the gingham layer ☺️ As for other programs, unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience outside of adobe programs, but I found a free alternative to InDesign, called Scribus, so maybe you could try that 🤔 (I haven't personally tried it) I really hope this helps and it's not too confusing haha
