I'm positive that becoming plant-based (vegan) 11 years ago has changed my life for the better. I watched my total cholesterol drop from 280 to 147 (147 is lower than ldl alone in 2012. My blood pressure has dropped from average 169/101 to average 132/78 and by also cutting out additives like sugar, glucose and fructose) I've watched my A1C drop from 6.8 to a much healther 5.4. I now have a resting heart rate of 57 (this is due to my increase in cardio exercise) and my top weight in 2012 of 254 lbs to my current weight of 192lbs. If I didn't change my lfestyle, particularly what I aste at age 54, I'm not so sure I would've made to my current 65.

@@HeartFeltGesture While I respect the idea that diets need to be intelligently applied, it's important to look at the comprehensive scientific evidence. Research consistently supports a diet rich in plant foods for reducing heart disease and other chronic conditions. The long-term health impacts of a carnivore diet, which excludes these beneficial plant foods, are not well supported by scientific evidence. A well-planned, plant-based diet is recognized for its health benefits and sustainability. It's important to consider not just individual experiences but the broad spectrum of nutritional science and human physiology. Plant-based absolutely works especially when it's not just waffles and fries. No sane cardiologist will suggest a carnivore diet to a heart patient for a reason.

Plants inflame the body, leading to swelling and arterial scar tissue, while meats introduce fat into the blood (this only forms plaque in locations that are inflamed due to getting caught on it). You have best results when excluding one since only when put together do you have negative side effects.

@dragoslav38593 жыл бұрын
Siri Lükewille the omega 3 from a plant based diet is much different than the omega 3 you get from fish. The omega 3 you get from fish is EPA, and DHA. Plant based omega 3 is ALA. You want the EPA, and DHA omega 3 for the super heart benefits. Your body will turn some of the ALA omega 3 from plants to EPA, and DHA, but it is not very effective, or efficient at it. As far as omega 3’s go, there really isn’t a suitable substitute for fish. Sardines are probably your best bet. They are lowest on the food chain and so have the least amount of mercury.

Quality not quantity of life. That's my attitude. Might just as well enjoy the good things in life instead of worry about how long you'll live because you just never know when your number is up.

I’m not sure CNN can report anything that’s true. Regardless, most people will NOT be able to eat just rabbit food and NO meat. It’s such a strict diet and so bland it’s next to impossible to stay on for any length of time.

@@fabio1212s looking at trying this out soon. Do you eat pure veggies and fruit or do you make it up into casseroles and use cauliflower for steaks and so forth?
@fabio1212s3 жыл бұрын
@@snowfox7739 the video is about a strict vegetarian diet. That means no animal products. You can probably get many of the benefits of a plant based diet by just minimizing animal products and eating mainly whole plant foods. However, I don't eat any animal products at all for ethical reasons
@snowfox77393 жыл бұрын
@@fabio1212s I probably should reframe my question and ask if you eat raw or do you cook and process your fruits and vegetables...not sure I’m getting my point across but I guess something like this for example: pin.it/2W30XDJ

First, I'd rather have my steak and take my chances. Second, most the vegan people I see look emaciated and very pale. Carnivores eat meat 🍖 😋.

Jesus Christ, I rarely reply to comments but here I just had to. He's Indian American, you can even see it if you're slightly smart and you can also spot the difference easily from being tanned or being naturally brown.
