I like food/cooking. I like photography. I like Zack Arias's work. Wow this is quickly becoming my favorite youtube channel! Keep pumping out great videos they give me some great entertainment and education to watch on the days I'm stuck on dialysis and I'm sure will give me some great ideas to try with my camera on the days I'm not. I was watching some of your older videos earlier today and the way you teach has always impressed and inspired me. I'm sure the same goes for a lot of others out there.

You sir are one of the best people in these high anxiety situations. You likely don't remember this but during Atlanta snowmageddon I was stuck out on 285 and stayed the night in my car. With nothing to do I was tweeting. Somewhere in there I remember you tweeting and offering your home to people that were stuck. That still sticks with me to this day. During times when we see the worst in humanity we also see the best too. And for that, if you put out a cooking show I'll watch. If you put out a sewing show, I'd watch. Thanks for always looking to help people. Your videos have been my guides on how to shoot with flash.

Glad you're back on YT again, Zack, I'm really enjoying your latest videos as much as I did your videos a few years ago. I will look forward to seeing your next videos and will be happy to watch videos on cooking if that's what you decide to do. IMHO you are a gifted and natural teacher. Some photographer channels have gifted entertainers and are more popular. One approach endures. Remember not everything popular is very good. Stay well everybody

Gotta say I'm loving the recent videos mate, and yup yup yup please do bring on the cooking vids! On a more serious note, I've been living in China for just over 10 years now, and please keep the careful mindset and don't underestimate this thing. What people see around the world is not what we have seen and experienced here. Stay safe, stay clean, a month or two off work and locked up at home is not a huge price to pay for staying alive. Hey Zack, I’ve really been loving/appreciating your vids this last while. I first heard your name when you did your first CreativeLive course. At the time I was a full-time photographer but after ten years of that I made the transition to full-time KZfaqr... running a mountain bike channel 🤔😂. I’ve recently gotten into cooking (and handmade Japanese chef knives...) myself, for some of the same reasons as you. Zack, with regards to stats - honestly, brother - they don't' matter and I don't think you should bother with them. I'm sure you know (better than most) that Content Is King, and that's why what you post is always so well received. People who have to stress over this-number-vs-that number aren't producing engaging content.

So glad you've found inspiration again! One of my favorite KZfaq videos to share is Crop or Crap. Sharing how the KZfaq Machine works is interesting. I watched a couple that does videos on cruising and also some walking for weight loss content and talked about how the numbers crunch that keeping them as separate channels worked better. FYI LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF WHAT'S UP WITH YA.

The glasses are cool, nothing wrong with cooking videos. Be aware there is a pretty significant link between alcohol and anxiety/depression. It causes, does't cure. Loving your stuff, keep it up.

The last time I shot film was this past December when a client specifically wanted 35 mm. He wanted a specific look and asked what camera I wanted to pull it off. I sent him a few Ebay links and he bought me a little Olympus Stylus just like I had in high school. We shot about 5 rolls of film that I handed to him at the end of the shoot.

I'd love to see more of the behind the scenes on your channel as far as stats. I've started and stopped my channel so many times I can't count. You are inspiring me to start up again. Besides, being stuck at home I need something to occupy my time. Much of my work has dried up because of the virus

I think a cooking show would be great, as well as the follow up editing video. I'd like to see the process from start to finish, I've always found your way of teaching very fun and easy going. :) As for the corona virus - we'll make it through. There's going to be some rough times but, like most things, 100% focus on it and excessive worry won't fix it. Keep busy in some fashion and time will take care of the rest.

The thing that stands out is that you could careless what the haters think and you should feel that way. I’m just a hobbyist who’s dabbled in the “professional” side of photography but I have similar issues with anxiety as you do. Thank you for putting it all out there for others to see. I’m always excited to see what you’re posting next because I know it’s going to hit me right in the feelers somewhere. Oh by the way... Cook on, Brother! I would love to see what you’re gonna do next. For now... (elbow bump, you know because fist bumps are out of the question for now), preach on and keep up the awesome work!

"Haters gonna hate", don't worry, there will aaalways be someone who need attention, for their ego or for anything. Your photo job is great and your channel are so necessary for a lot of us, not for a literal example of how do this or that, your presence is so good for us, which overthink life, which have the same mental issues and because your words and faces talk about a honest, humble, imperfect man who tries to be a little shadow in desert and we all want to say "thank you so much" 😊 keep going dear Zack.

Keep the glasses and facial hair be you man! The cooking video idea sounds great (my other love) and you using that to have content to edit teaching LumaFusion is perfect. I will be honest with you on one point. Your no bs approach on gear when you first started making videos (OneLight). I think there are a thousand people doing it but I think your way of pointing out the cheaper gear was amazing. For me it helped tear down the walls of “I want to shoot with lights but getting into it would cost too much”. I remember getting “big mama” and taking it everywhere to just shoot, it helped me so much.

Zack, I appreciate all of your videos, whether it is your One Light series or on Creative Live or on You Tube. You can be counted on to always tell it like it is; I always learn something. As far as your glasses, I think you should wear what you like. If other folks do not like them, then they can close their eyes and just listen to your videos. And regarding cooking video, by all means; it is another side of your creativity. Photographer and LensWork editor, Brooks Jensen, likes to bake bread. He doesn't, to my knowledge, do videos or podcasts on bread making, but his normal videos and podcasts are not normally on techniques or equipment but rather they focus on the creative process. He has mentioned his bread making is a creative outlet. I would see your cooking videos in the same light--just another creative outlet for you. Looking forward to you next output whether it is on photography or cooking, regardless of the glasses you are wearing. ;-)

Thanks again Zack for your refreshing views and plan of action. Cooking videos are a crazy idea for a photography channel so absolutely do it. Thinking of Covid 19 and it’s impact, some cooking ideas to make great meals out of food essentials including canned food 🥫 would be helpful if we are going to be stuck indoors. Keep the glasses. Apply your 10 critique rules to that commenter’s opinion and don’t “close down your website”. Keep safe and healthy.

Ever since I started following your stuff, both training and other updates, I found the only voice that seems to say the same things I feel deep down. This may sound a bit cliché, but your approach has had a big impact on the way I’m dealing with imposter syndrome and my recent depression. Funny how your first video of this new bunch has coincided with my latest shoot. I’m still editing it, nothing fancy, but it was a way to kick myself into gear and I find the timing of it all kind of fitting. Thanks for your honesty, man, keep it up!

Go make videos for your channel Zack, not about your channel. You are smart and creative, you don't need us viewers to tell you what direction to go into. Try, explore, learn. Read comments, but also take it with a grain of salt because we will never be able to agree among all subscribers. Wish you all the best!

Do not be anxious about coronavirus, I live in Northern Italy and here the situation is unreal, it seems to live in a movie, but we must maintain a positive attitude. hopefully soon everyone will return to every day life. I would love to see your KZfaq stats, and pretty much everything you share, because you're one of my fav photographers and a real human! It's important for viewers to recognize one of our kind in a KZfaq video you know, did you notice the immediate response? For the first time after watching I go straight to the comments and read... and today I actually commented. The Fellowship Of The Zack 🤣

Love your work Zack, I’ve been a fan of yours since the first One light video. I think it would be a cool video of you doing a home photoshoot for people who can’t leave their house for the quarantine. Also have to add I have pretty much all your videos and even you GPP duals. Keep up all the great work.

I’d definitely be interested to see your stats and how they rise as you bring the channel back to life. I’m not into cooking but I reckon I’d give yours a watch, you have a great way of delivering things and explaining things so I think it’d be a good watch - editing that footage will be a definite watch for me, I can edit photos until the cows come home but video is an absolute mystery to me.

hey Zack, loved the X100v promo. Prompted me to pick one up, great little piece of kit. Personally, my little photo business here in the UK has lost 4 jobs this week and very little new work is coming in, trying not to freak out so going to spend a few days shooting some street to keep my mind off it!
