Following the previous episode where we have on-going power issues we get up and travel to Penistone Country Park and then onward to have a great albeit extended walk north east of Skipton in Yorkshire. As ever we have a lot of banter along the way and Jane has a weird view on swear words.
Our names our Stew & Jane and along with 'Harry' our Auto Campers Ford Custom Transit campervan we are Getaway Geese, we record our adventures as we enjoy the freedom of vanlife. We hope our videos inform and maybe inspire you to vanlife whether that be permanent living or casual trips.

Hi,you asked what the boxes were for- they are filled with medicated grit that helps the grouse grind the Heather shoots and help them digest it. The medication is a coating to prevent parasitic worms.

The Naughty Boys, that's what Pippa from Worms Eye View calls us. Love that area. Skipton market is a good one if you ever get a chance to get to it. You can park overnighting the car park by the basin, they have marked bays for campervans to overnight. Handy if you are going out for a meal in the town. Lookong forward to you joining us on a walk soon.

Ah so it’s you defacing the signs you naughty boys ….. good shout on Skipton market as live a local one …. Thanks for the basin tip I will mark that on my map now. Bear with us on the walk we aren’t avoiding it we have a manic year - retired / daughters wedding / visited Janes son in Amsterdam/ Norway cruise that was postponed two years ago and 10 weeks in Ireland if we don’t kill each other - when we travel through your area I will ping you as we will that’s for sure

We overnighted at Penistone Country Park last year but went right up to the lumpy bumpy car park along the lumpy bumpy track lol. Gorgeous scenery on that walk. Reminds me a bit of where we are now but no reservoir. Really nice.

We have the same walking socks! Loved the getaway gees flyover on your walk. Oh yes you definitely must visit Skipton but you were right to leave it until you have more time. Lots to see. Next time you're in that area you should consider visiting Clitheroe and the surrounding villages in the Ribble Valley & Forest of Bowland too. No shortage of interesting sights there. Great video guys. Had us laughing when you went A over T. Im 67 my wife is 62 we regularly walk 10 to 12 miles don't do kilometers lol. So you will build up to it. Vanning is a really healthy way of life. We haven't had the courage to do green camping yet but will take the plunge soon. I don't get to put many comments on because we watch you on the telly and cant work out how to do it. Love the channel take care and stay happy.xx

Thanks for another great video. When you go back to Penistone Country Park make sure you do the circular walk to Top Withens of Wuthering Heights fame, via the Bronte Waterfalls, also walk into Haworth it's well worth a visit. Loved the Geese. 😊

The shooting breaks are used for the Glorious 12th. (August). We are local to Penniston Hill and did a stop over recently on the top car park. Unfortunately we had to make a hasty retreat when a group of youths came up in a buggy doing doughnuts showering our van in stones. They were high on laughing gas.
