I've been happy with the evotech parts I have - folding levers and skid pan. I also have the termi exhaust but it doesn't look as nice as the arrow but I'm sure it's quieter! Loving the vids so far - the sled is a beauty

Quick tip don’t lube your chain on the rear sprocket as you will get spatter on you disc brake lube it up by the front sprocket do both sides of the chain above the chain slider and the underside of your swingarm that way the lube penetrates from both sides of the chain rather than just the outer edge

Papa, a tip for lubing chains. Wedge a piece of paper underneath the chain on the swingarm. Hold the can in your left hand and fixate your left arm up against something solid, like the footpeg. Aim the bottle directly at the chain links for 2-3 revolutions. Right arm does the wheel rotations. Repeat for the other side of the chain links. This method uses your lube much more efficiently and actually gets it where it needs to be. Simple and effective. You can actually feel rotation resistance reducing while you do it and looks very professional. Greetings from a Busa lova. Oh, and the highway clip was causing the printer I have on my desk next to my monitor to vibrate. Thanks, it was entertaining.

That sounds wicked, it must be real loud to come through that clearly in the video. Arrow exhausts are great, had them on my last few bikes and always been impressed.

Try drilling some half inch holes into the baffle towards the cone will make it alittle louder without the full straight pipe sounds.

@Yammie Noob. Do yourself a favor and ditch that x-grip phone mount for a Ram Quick Grip before you lose your phone. The little rubber pieces can vibrate off and goodbye phone. I just got a desert sled a few weeks ago and have put a few thousand miles in it already. Fantastic go anywhere bike. Love it. Your videos are awesome.

I agree. Just traded in my Harley Softail Slim for a 2020 Desert Sled. Still have my BMW S1000rr and KTM 1290 Super Duke R, but lately the little Ducati has been my favorite on the streets and mild off-road areas. Still debating about which exhaust to go with. My others are Akra and SC Project.

Nice mods man! After I saw your complaint about the hand guard fitment I did a little research. Ended up ordering a newer model directly from Evotech in the UK specifically designed for the 19-20 desert sleds. Got them in today and they fit quite well. My Evotech tail tidy....now that's a different story. Had to break out the dremel for that install.

I got the Bell Bullet Scrambler helmet when I got my bike. It’s a cool helmet and I love it but I recognize the whistle in this video. I also tend to stand on toward the end of long rides or going slow on bumpy dirt roads, going slow checking out the view.

I put a Leo Vince GP 1 on my desert sled and it’s super loud! It’s sounds like a big twin down low and full on race bike up high.

If the scramblers anything like my m796 you can make it crackle and pop at any time by letting off the throttle and rolling it back onto the end on the free play, i.e. give it like 5% throttle as a kind of fuel over-run

I know how you feel about the volume last year I cut the baffles out of my Harley and at first it sounded great I loved it... then I went on the freeway and the drone was very real. A quick fix was dm customs torque inserts which helped with the drone and did quiet it down a bit but I lost that thunderous sound sadly . Then after I save up some cash I got a real exhaust which is basically a 2 in 1 with a glass pack which is was more liveable and my neighbors aren’t as annoyed now

I would be looking for something to go on top of that X on the sides of the gas tank. Also a thicker seat, however I am 60 years old, a regular seat felt a lot better in my 20s.

Hey my friend! Great info all around! I am wondering how this exhaust is working out after a few months riding with it? Is it better and bearable with the dB killer in the long run? (Also still pleasant?) and also does it get annoying when off roading doing technical maneuvers at slow speeds? I really like the initial sound of the pipe but I don’t want to get sick of it 7months down the line considering it ain’t cheap! Thanks to anyone with this info!

If it's possible I think it would be better if you either get you helmet cam to aim upwards a little bit or just reverse it and then set it up properly. Because you can't really see the road while you're riding especially when you tuck in even slightly. Camera is just pointing at your speedo.
