You nailed every single decade! The amount of research and attention to detail is mind blowing. Ngl seeing the inclusion of Black hip hop icons like Lil Kim and Missy Elliott made me tear up because they are often excluded when people discuss 90s/00s fashion. I hope you do one for the men as well. Could you do a video on the skin details you used?

It amazes me how this era we’re all in now has taken small pieces from every decade and made them all somehow work together. We have fanny packs and bell bottom jeans, strings of pearls and leg warmers, simple pumps and sheer tights to this day and worn by someone somewhere in a modern setting. Fashion always changes, yes, but some things never go out of fashion at all.

all the sims look stunning, but I have to be honest, that 30s sim needs some work. Her makeup and hair were done flawlessly and your research was really solid but the dress she wore was very bright, when they typically favoured more "modest" colours that didn't draw too much attention, like browns, grays, etc... also, that coat doesn't go with the dress at all, the shoes maybe. The hat would definitely work, but not for a more glam 30s, that would be more for the casual attire of course, this is just my own thoughts as someone who works on fashion and is a huge fashion history nerd ♡♡ they still all look gorgeous and you nailed the makeup for all of them

This was such a weird trip down memory lane 😂 but in a good way It’s so interesting to see how much style has changed and it’s so funny to me that alot of this stuff is all coming back, alot of people are into fully curating an aesthetic especially on instagram. I think it would be cool to see a version of this challenge but for the most recent decade. 2001-2010, that was primarily my childhood and teen years and I remember the way alot of kids dressed and the horrendous makeup trends etc, the ridiculous orange bronzer, concealer lips, thick crusty mascara etc. I remember always being jealous that the “popular girls” got to wear makeup and got all this attention etc but looking back I’m so glad my mother had the sense to not let me do that to my face 😂😂😂 And then in the same decade especially from about 2007/2008-2010 was the rise of myspace, alt fashion, tumblr blogs, emo/scene style was huge but it wasn’t as polished as it is today. Nowadays people can do makeup better but back then it was like, everyone slapped on pounds of foundation with their hands and did most of their makeup with their fingers like brushes, who that. No one used brushes. Teased hair, huge fringes and being obsessed with hair straightening was a big thing as well as dying hair wild colors or having some weird patterns with hair dye like racoon tails etc, also hair extensions for emo/scene girls was huge. Rubber bracelets, graphic tees, ripped skinny jeans, ipods with screamo music, the nightmare before Christmas and Emily the strange were icons and everyone was obsessed with like oli sykes and alex evans. And everyone edited their pictures in Picnik or Gimp if they couldn’t afford photoshop, everyone had like crappy digital cameras and stuff and smartphones weren’t quite a thing yet, most people still had flip or slide phones. The only people with like iPhones had rich parents because they were super new still and ridiculously expensive. And everyone was obsessed with having a perfect awesome myspace page and everyone cared way too much about their top 10 list 😂 Facebook did exist but no-one used it and instagram wasn’t really a thing yet either. Tumblr was pretty huge aswell and also Bebo was popular. The best hip thing to do was go to “late night” once a week at the plaza and hang out with friends, which basically means everyone tried to look as cool as possible especially if their crush was there 😂 I personally didn’t ever fully lean into any specific aesthetic, I kinda adopted a bunch of things from different styles and mashed them together 🤷🏼‍♀️ The one thing I remember was I had a pair of purple skinny jeans and they were my #1 obsession, I wore them constantly and everyone loved them and I also had a purple sparkly bass guitar that had a custom spider web plate on it 😂 Onto 2010-2020. Honestly that whole period is a bit of a blur, I graduated in 2010, and once school was done, most of the superficial stuff died down a bit everyone relaxed a bit because they were more focused on uni or working etc and all anyone cared about was their 18th birthday. (Legal drinking age in Australia) and planning their 18th was highly important 😂 After that most people I knew from school disappeared, everyone has grown up, most people I went to HS with are married with kids now and we’re all old 😂 highschool weirdly feels like a million years ago but also sometimes feels like yesterday, it’s strange.

It's insane when the stuff you wore as a tween/teenager (I was born in the mid 80's) comes back into style. Like, the stuff I wore in middle and high school is what middle and high schoolers are wearing now. It's surreal and I appreciate my mother's struggle when I was wearing 60's/70's styles and rolling my eyes at her when she compared them to what she used to wear. 😂😂

Fun fact about the 40s but most women didn’t wear nylons because they couldn’t! The nylon was taken for the war effort, applied to things needed by the military, so women would have to resort to alternatives to make it look like they wore stockings. Some “dupes” included liquid stockings, which was essentially a foundation for the legs, or even using brown gravy to stain their legs, and then would use an eyeliner pencil to trace the stocking line up the back of their exposed leg

Fun fact! In the 1940s, Nylon was rationed around May 14, 1940, due to World War II, which they called “Nylon Day,” four million pairs of nylon were only available to sell for a brief time, and all stores across the nation ended up selling out in two days! When women could no longer buy them, they had to come up with ways to make it look like they were wearing them, so companies, like L'oreal, came out with something called "Liquid Stockings" aka makeup for your legs lol. Women would apply it and then draw a line on the back for more added realism. If they couldn't afford the product, women would use tea, coffee, and/or gravy browning! After the products began to rise in popularity, salons started a service to get it professionally applied, and in stores, there were entire areas dedicated to leg makeup!

Hij Syd, I had a weird random challenge idea… Build a house with only base game. Spin for a random random pack and replace base game item for a likewise item. You can spin multiple rounds, but only replace for a base item. ( Added no mistake challenge) Example: You can replace a console table with a coffee table or console table of a pack, but not with a desk. You can replace a clutter piece with a plant, or a painting for a wall decal. But you can never add decorations. You can move the items a bit to make them fit, but not move them to another room or wall. Feel free too just add unique gameplay objects from pack (Dumpster, bike, bubble blower, sauna) Added difficulty: Random number of objects need to be replaced by a random pack You can go into micromanagement for the categorization. Only replace plants by plants, posters by posters, decal by decal, painting by painting, desk by desk.
