Thanks for your kind words. Nice to see your trolling 3 years after my question. I was merely asking peoples opinion because Ditialdreamdoor is the only guitarist site that even list Tommy Shaw and he comes in at 249. I believe you used a poor example to conclude what kind of person i am as i think most people even today's youth ..... (if they are into sports) know who Michael Jordan is. I'd wager most peope who listened to music everyday don't know James Young and Tommy Shaw. 😄 @@eriklarson9137

@@eriklarson9137 @mdhunter03 I did y'all a favor and looked this up. I googled "top 100 rock guitarists" and found neither of these players on anyone's top 100 list. I did find Tommy Shaw on one person's top 250 at about 248. In my opinion, Shaw and Young both can play circles around most of the players I see in these lists (I also think Young is slightly better than Shaw, as he generally played the harder technical solos, althought Shaw can certainly shred as well). So yes, most definitely they are underrated.

Say now, that was really huge! I remember hearing this when I was in high school for the first time. LOUD. This has really lasted well through the years - Very well done! Don made it even more intense.

I love everything Tommy Shaw does and it makes me happy to see him giving Don the respect he deserves! I hate the Eagles for the way they treated Don and the rest of their band. Frey and Henley were a couple of egomaniacs! Thoroughly enjoyed this video.. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! That was awesome! What a band, and Shaw's voice is still intact. Most notably is Todd Sucherman who never seizes to amaze me. A true underrated monster on drums.

Oh... that was too good. What a performance. All the vocals are there. That's why Shaw is the man. And all three guitarists shredding. Don Felder comes in and kills it. And James Young? That guy is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Listen to that note he hits at the end. The varied vibrato speed? The tone? It's sick. Also the keyboardist and drummer are badass. :) Great video!

In memory of my beautiful, fabulous, spectacular mom......I miss you with all my heart and soul. You camped out with me to make sure I had the best seat in the house. I was always in the front row and at all the shows because of her. Tommy is coming here in December and so is my mother’s birthday that month. I hope you can hear him singing that night......💔

I almost want to see musicians having fun performing rather than playing really well. This video gives both great playing and a crew that is having fun. You can’t fake this.

What Felder has been able to do in terms of re-building his career after being booted and nearly black-balled from the industry is nothing short of remarkable. the eagles unknowingly gave Felder back his talent, his independence and his freedom. I'd never see the eagles. I would see Don Felder in a heartbeat.

I WATCH THIS VERSION OF BLUE COLLAR MAN 7 MORNINGS A WEEK AS MY WAKE UP CALL TO FACE THE WORLD AGAIN ONE MORE TIME AS IT GETS MY 75 YEAR OLD HEART PUMPING LIKE A TEENAGER ONCE AGAIN !!!!!!!!! TODD SUCHERUMAN IS WITHOUT A DOUBT 1 OF THE BEST DRUMMERS EVER TO HOLD A PAIR OF DRUM STICKS AS HE PLAYS HIS HEART OUT USING THE CONVENTIONAL GRIP , THAT BARELY ANY OTHER DRUMMER CAN , AND HE'S A MASTER DRUMMER WHO CAN PLAY USING EITHER GRIP BUT THE POWER HE ACHIEVES USING THE CONVENTIONAL GRIP IS SIMPLY AMAZING AND YOU DRUMMERS RAISED USING THE MATCH GRIP NEED TO CHANGE NOW BEFORE IT'S TO LATE AND WATCH TODD AS HE BLASTS EVERYTHING THE CONVENTIONAL WAY !!!!!!!! I MYSELF A DRUMMER SINCE AGE 12 , NOW 75 STILL AS CONVENTIONAL AS EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a Styx fan for a long time but I've always liked Tommy Shaws vocals just a little bit better than Dennis deYoung's. Tommy's still got it after all those years. Unlike most other rockers of that era, he has aged quite well. He looks and sounds amazing.
