Thank you so much for this video! I tried two types of cork, switched to felt and eventually found the teflon you mentioned (Moss had it the whole time) and FINALLY my H4 jets are not seeping fuel. Seems the cork seals even in the Burlen kits - with new jets/bearings - is no guarantee.

Thanks for posting. I have an MGA car here with a drip from the bottom of the jet.

Hi Rob, I fitted the teflon seals off fleabay, you don't need to pay the burlen prices, remember to check how many flats the mixture nut is open before you start the job, David

Once mine is in place on the car the choke lever operation is then tight as the jet moves down and doesn't return on its own.. Any thoughts ? The glands are new and oil soaked. This is even before the damper is fitted.. does the cork need some time to free up ? Thanks

Are the jets centered correctly? Return springs correct? I replaced the cork glands with E10 proof seals but I do remember the cork glands being a tight fit, stronger springs may be needed to pull them back.

@davidbosworth.3395 based on John Twists method. I didn't use the centering tool . Is that what I did wrong?

@@davidbosworth.3395 Hi David...Return springs correct as they've always been. I centred the jetsvas per the John Twist method. Should I have used the centring tool instead perhaps ?

Have you checked the choke cable itself, it may need lubrication or could be kinked.

@@davidbosworth.3395 This is without it even connected. I refer to the brass lever on the carb itself as it pulls the jet down..
